In November 1968, millions of double LPs were shipped to record stores worldwide ahead of that tumultuous year's most anticipated music event: the November 22nd release of The Beatles (soon to be better known as The White Album). With their ninth studio effort, The Beatles took the world on a whole new trip, side one blasting off with the exhilarating rush of a screaming jet escorting Paul McCartney's punchy, exuberant vocals on "Back In The U.S.S.R." "Dear Prudence" came next, John Lennon warmly beckoning his friend and all of us to "look around." George Harrison imparted timeless wisdom in "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," singing, "With every mistake we must surely be learning." Ringo Starr's "Don't Pass Me By" marked his first solo songwriting credit on a Beatles album.

For 50 years, The White Album has invited its listeners to venture forth and explore the breadth and ambition of its music, delighting and inspiring each new generation in turn. In November 2018, The Beatles will release a suite of lavishly presented White Album packages. All the new White Album releases include producer Giles Martin and mix engineer Sam Okell's new stereo album mix, sourced directly from the original four-track and eight-track session tapes. Martin's new mix is guided by the album's original stereo mix produced by his father, George Martin. "In remixing ‘The White Album,' we've tried to bring you as close as possible to The Beatles in the studio," explains Giles in his written introduction for the new edition. "We've peeled back the layers of the ‘Glass Onion' with the hope of immersing old and new listeners into one of the most diverse and inspiring albums ever made."

Presented here as a 180g 2LP-set with faithful original packaging (the minimalist artwork was created by artist Richard Hamilton, one of Britain's leading figures in the creation and rise of pop art), the album's sweeping new edition follows 2017's universally acclaimed Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band Anniversary Edition releases. To create the new stereo mix for The White Album, Martin and Okell worked with an expert team of engineers and audio restoration specialists at Abbey Road Studios in London.

There Is Nothing Left to Lose is the third studio album by the Foo Fighters, released November 2, 1999. The album marks the first appearance of drummer Taylor Hawkins, and is often seen as a departure from the band's previous work, showcasing a softer, more experimental sound. In a 2006 interview, Dave Grohl states that the album is "totally based on melody" and that it "might be his favorite album that they've ever done." There Is Nothing Left to Lose won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2001, marking the group's first ever Grammy Award. The band would go on to win the Grammy for Best Rock Album for three of their next four studio releases (One By One, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, and Wasting Light).

One by One is the fourth studio album by alternative rock band Foo Fighters, released on October 22, 2002 by RCA. The album is the first to feature guitarist Chris Shiflett. Production on the album was troubled, with initial recording sessions considered unsatisfying and raising tensions between the band members. They eventually decided to redo the album from scratch during a two-week period at front man Dave Grohl's home studio in Alexandria, Virginia. The songs on the album, which include the successful singles "All My Life" and "Times Like These", have been noted for their introspective lyrics and a heavier and more aggressive sound compared to the band's earlier work, which Grohl said was intended to translate the energy of the Foo Fighters' live performances into a recording. One by One was positively received by critics, winning a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2004-the second consecutive Grammy Award for Best Rock Album won by the band-and praised for it's sound and production.

Foo Fighters is the debut studio album by American alternative rock band Foo Fighters, released on July 4, 1995, by Capitol Records through Dave Grohl's label Roswell. Grohl wrote and recorded the entire album himself - with the exception of a guest guitar spot by Greg Dulli - with the assistance of producer Barrett Jones at Robert Lang Studios in Seattle, Washington, in 1994. Grohl claimed he recorded the album just for fun, describing it as a cathartic experience to recover from the death of his Nirvana bandmate Kurt Cobain.

Foo Fighters is an American rock band, formed in Seattle in 1994. It was founded by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl as a one-man project following the death of Kurt Cobain and the resulting dissolution of his previous band. The group got it's name from the UFOs and various aerial phenomena that were reported by Allied aircraft pilots in World War II, which were known collectively as foo fighters.

Double vinyl LP pressing. Bitches Brew is a studio album by jazz musician, composer, and bandleader Miles Davis, originally released on March 30, 1970. It marked his continuing experimentation with electric instruments that he had previously featured on the critically acclaimed In a Silent Way (1969). With these instruments, such as the electric piano and guitar, Davis rejected traditional jazz rhythms in favor of loose, rock-influenced arrangements based on improvisation. In subsequent years, Bitches Brew gained recognition as one of jazz's greatest albums and a progenitor of the jazz rock genre, as well as a major influence on rock and funk musicians.

Dave Matthews Band's 1994 major label debut Under The Table And Dreaming introduced the Virginia-based quintet to a national audience with an alternative, folk-tinged approach to pop/rock music that resonated in a post-grunge world. DMB earned early acclaim as independent artists for 1993's Remember Two Things, which captured the band's diverse sound in a mostly live setting. This led to a deal with RCA Records, who paired them up with acclaimed producer Steve Lillywhite, whose eclectic work included collaborations with U2, The Rolling Stones, Peter Gabriel and The Pogues. Home to the landmark DMB anthems "Ants Marching," "What Would You Say" and "Satellite," Lillywhite's crisp approach in the studio was an intriguing complement to the band's loose and easygoing but intricately-arranged song styles, making for an album that satisfied longtime fans while attracting new listeners.

The Cult Pure Cult The Singles Compilation on LP

Released domestically for the first time, remastered and with reworked art. Pure Cult is a definitive compilation, bringing together all of The Cult's singles such as "She Sells Sanctuary," "Fire Woman" and more.

The Cult, unlike its predecessor bands the Southern Death Cult and the Death Cult, was unapologetic about its mainstream rock & roll aspirations, which makes Pure Cult the best possible starting place for the group. The Cult was a singles band, and a pretty great one, too, as evidenced by the Stones-like "Love Removal Machine" and the blazing "Fire Woman."

The ensemble's mixture of '60s influences and hard-rock power helped define a whole subset of the late-'80s alternative-rock scene, and it's fair to say that groups like Stone Temple Pilots owed at least some of their success to the Cult's early flirtations with the rock mainstream. Pure Cult gives a good sense of the band's surprisingly organic shift in sound, ranging from the gothy neo-psychedelia of "She Sells Sanctuary" to the sneering rock of "Star."

Collective Soul burst into the mainstream in 1994 with the album Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid, which went double platinum and included the gold-selling single "Shine," among other hits. J. Cole's fifth full-length effort, KOD debuted atop the Billboard 200 in April 2018, marking the North Carolina rapper's fifth consecutive No. 1 album. KOD - which stands for Kids On Drugs, King Overdosed and Kill Our Demons - takes us into a new world highlighting addictions of all sorts. The gold certified record is home to the two Top 10 singles "KOD" and "ATM." Cole explains the three acronyms starting with Kids On Drugs, "If I turn on the TV right now, it's not gonna take long for there to be an advertisement that pops up that says 'Are you feeling down? 1981's October saw U2 rising not only to the usual challenges of proving that you're more than a one-album wonder, but to the specific pressure of creating new work as the clock ticked ever louder. Where Boy had only brushed against a mainstream audience in the UK, peaking at No. 52, October reached No. 11. "Fire" was the opening shot, and it made some noise. The song was their first hit single at home, reaching the Top 5 in Ireland, and gave U2 their first UK Top 40 entry. Next came "Gloria," the second single and the opening track. The song's Latin chorus foretold an LP with strong religious themes, but also with a developing sense of the band's songwriting maturity and instrumental dexterity. The innate percussive tension of "I Threw A Brick Through A Window" and urgency of "Rejoice" were offset by the measured, near-instrumental "Scarlet" and the affecting piano balladry of "October" itself.

Double 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Achtung Baby is the seventh studio album by Irish rockers U2. It was produced by Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno, and was released on 18 November 1991 on Island Records. U2 shifted their musical direction to incorporate influences from alternative rock, industrial music, and electronic dance music into their sound. Thematically, Achtung Baby is darker, more introspective, and at times more flippant than their previous work. The album and the subsequent multimedia-intensive Zoo TV Tour were central to the group's 1990s reinvention, by which they abandoned their earnest public image for a more lighthearted and self-deprecating one.
