All is the fourth studio album from Southern California punks Descendents. Released in 1987, the record marked the introduction of both bassist Karl Alvarez and guitarist Stephen Egerton, whose arrival brought fresh melodic ideas and more complex instrumentation to the band through their democratic songwriting process. The album takes it's title from the concept of "All" (achieving the "total extent"), coined by Bill Stevenson and his friend Pat McCuistion. All would prove to be the final studio album of the band's original run, and it's title would carry forward as the name of the group's next chapter without singer Milo Aukerman.

The American punk rock band Social Distortion was formed in 1978 in Fullerton, California. Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell is their fourth studio album, originally released in 1992. It continues the melding of country and rockabilly influences with punk that began two albums earlier with the album Prison Bound. Clear influences include Hank Williams and Johnny Cash. The album also marks the first time that a Social Distortion lineup had not changed across three consecutive studio recordings. Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell is available as a limited edition of 3000 individually numbered copies on yellow coloured vinyl. The record comes in a deluxe sleeve finished with linen laminate and includes an insert with lyrics.

Legendary pianist and composer Horace Silver was influenced by a wide range of musical styles, notably gospel, African, and Latin American music. He also occasionally ventured into the soul jazz genre. Even if he had been working on and off for that label since 1952, Silver would record exclusively for Blue Note after 1956, eventually becoming close to the label's boss, Alfred Lion, who allowed him greater input on aspects of album production than was usual at the time. Silver's Blue, taped for the Epic label, was to be the last LP the pianist cut before signing that contract and his first as a leader after leaving Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. Just like their success albums A Crow Left Of The Murder... and Light Grenades, Brendan O'Brien covered the production for the band. The producer, who is best known for producing records for Pearl Jam, Korn and Audioslave, helped reinventing their sound. The band's seventh installment is recognized by less use of guitars compared to their earlier works. The album reached #2 in the US Billboard Charts.
