House of Pain (Fine Malt Lyrics) went multi-platinum and the self titled debut album spawned the successful producer DJ Muggs, who produced the single "Jump Around". The song was also remixed twice by Pete Rock, one version featuring a verse from him and one without. "Jump Around" became a hit in 1992, reaching number 3 in the United States. The album also featured Cypress Hill member B-Real on the song "Put Your Head Out" and Funkdoobiest's Son Doobie on "House and the Rising Sun", both members of the musical collective known as Soul Assassins.

Vinyl LP pressing. 2022 release. Recorded in Berlin and remotely between 2020 and 2021, The Brian Jonestown Massacre returns with their 19th full-length studio album. Fire Doesn't Grow On Trees is the beginning of a thrilling new phase for Anton Newcombe and his band. Joining him in the studio and remotely for this album were Ricky Maymi (guitars), Ryan Carlson Van Kriedt (keyboards), Hakon Adalsteinsson (guitar), Hallberg Daði Hallbergsson (bass), and Uri Rennert (drums). Originally, Newcombe was heavily influenced by The Rolling Stones' psychedelic phase - the name comes from Stones guitarist Brian Jones combined with a reference to cult leader Jim Jones. But his work in the 2000s has expanded into aesthetic dimensions approximating the UK shoegaze genre of the 1990s and incorporating influences from world music, especially Middle Eastern and Brazilian music.
Coming July 15th: the first album from Interpol in four years, The Other Side of Make-Believe. If fate didn't quite ordain the circumstances for Interpol's seventh album, it was at least fortunate that the band had happily concluded their Marauder cycle on stage in front of 30 thousand-odd Peruvian fans. Rather than be sent scrambling like so many other musicians on tour or promoting new music, when lockdown clamped in March 2020, Interpol quickly got into a productive mood.
Coming from a group whose early work was characterized by Polish knife-wielders and incarcerated serial killers, you might expect Interpol's pandemic record to be an emotional tar pit - doubly so, given the presence of towering producer-engineer duo Flood and Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, Gary Numan, Depeche Mode) on the boards. But Banks felt the call to push in a "counterbalancing" direction, with paeans to mental resilience and the quiet power of going easy. "The nobility of the human spirit is to recover and rebound," he says. "Yeah, I could focus on how f***ed everything is, but I feel now is the time when being hopeful is necessary, and a still-believable emotion within what makes Interpol Interpol."
Vinyl LP pressing. 2022 release. With his first new album in 36 years, Reboot, Ronnie Foster returns to Blue Note Records 50 years after releasing his debut album, Two Headed Freap, on the label in 1972. Reboot is a collection of originals and covers that mark a fresh start for Foster who has whipped up an omnidirectional brew of Hammond Organ grooves that pay homage to the past but more often reflect Ronnie's restlessness for ushering in the new. The album is dedicated to the memory of his longtime friend Dr. Lonnie Smith.
"Hello, Hi" - Ty Segall - Tossing down straight acoustic shots with electric guitar back, Ty Segall rides through the valley of thee ol' Canyon legends, seeking an isolated place beneath the open sky to loose his herd of wild nerves Alone at last, naturally? Nope - there's a rider on the horizon, cross-hairs trained on his very own heart. Tremulating in fear and loathing upon the precipice of everyday, so that we don't think we don't have to, Ty guides ten songs of love through internal crevasses and past darkened cavities, as harmony vocals swarm above the treacherous, yet reverberant arroyos. Whatever doesn't get killed is getting stronger all the time. It's light rock made heavy through thought and intention, "Hello, Hi" is a lean, mean deal, baked in saltwater and sunlight, compassion pouring forth from beautiful blue eyes.
Emotional Creature - ORANGE MARBLE - Beach Bunny - As lockdown approached in 2020, Chicago-based singer Lili Trifilio was wrapping up a tour in support of Beach Bunny's debut album, Honeymoon. Suddenly, she found herself back at her parents' house, coping with her new reality. To deal, she retreated into sci-fi stories and her always-active imagination. She envisioned new places to travel in her mind, thus dreaming up big, bombastic pop sounds to construct Beach Bunny's highly anticipated sophomore album, Emotional Creature. Simultaneously about personal growth, Emotional Creature is a collection of highly relatable songs that capture the highs and lows of new relationships, the joys and vulnerabilities of letting someone in, the gut-wrenching realities of experiencing anxiety, leaving toxic relationships, and seeing yourself through the eyes of the one you love. These complex feelings are expertly contrasted with ultra-poppy melodies, anthemic choruses, and a slight punk edge. 'The songs have grown with me over time,' Trifilio explains. 'Some of them were written in various stages of life, and I think as we go through different experiences and hardships, you come out stronger. I've grown as a person, so the songwriting reflects that.' With it's openhearted, vulnerable themes and progressive, hook-filled take on pop rock and pop punk, Emotional Creature only further cements Beach Bunny and Trifilio's well-earned reputation as a leading voice of their generation. Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theater by Bobby Digital vs RZA
Back in 1998, RZA had already cemented his status as Wu-Tang Clan's man behind the boards, producing the entirety of the group's respective solo albums. But when it came to his own breakout moment, the producer opted to introduce the world to Bobby Digital, a cartoonishly hedonistic mad-rapping alter-ego and grew so fond of the character that he released another album under the moniker before finally delivering 2003's Birth of a Prince as the RZA. Now it seems Bobby Digital is back in the picture and potentially set square up with his host. On Friday, RZA announced a new album, RZA vs. Bobby Digital, with the release of the hard-hitting new single, "Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theater." According to a press release, production on the album is handled by DJ Scratch. "Giving Scratch the reins as a producer and me taking the reins as an MC, that's what frees me up creatively and let's me play more with lyrical gags and lyrical flows because I don't have to be focused on everything," the producer noted in a statement. The new single marks the second Bobby Digital drop of the year, following "Pugilism," which was slated to be featured on the long-rumored project, The Cure, but seems to be a part of another upcoming collection of songs under the moniker titled Digital Potions. However, neither of those projects have a firm release date at the moment.
Minus the Bearhave always avoided easy classification, preferring to tread their own inimitable path defined by energy and invention.Omni, the Seattle-based band’s fourth full-length recording and debut Dangerbird Records release, sees a stunning evolution to their sound and vision. Boldly experimental yet instantly accessible,OmniisMinus the Bear’smost provocative and potent work to date. Produced byMinus The Bearand Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes, U2, The Shins).

Lost Loves (Colored Vinyl, Yellow, Indie Exclusive)
Lost Loves lives up to it's title quite literally as a collection of hard to let go songs pulled from the band's past seven odd years of writing, recording and releasing records. 'Inevitably some of your favorite songs are going to be cut in the necessity of creating the right sequence for that particular time says bassist Cory Murchy. 'Regardless of the reason they weren't included, it wasn't for lack of love and appreciation of the songs themselves.' Somewhat by chance the black sheep that didn't quite fit in with Planet of Ice, OMNI, and Infinity Overhead coalesce among their once regretfully forsaken peers. 'Perhaps it's because they didn't make the past albums that they fit so seamlessly together' muses Murchy.
Bristling with guitar acrobatics and infectious melodies, Minus The Bear's fifth studio full-length album, Infinity Overhead (2012) marked not only a return to form in direction, instrumentation and creation but also one of the band's most aggressive and confident to date. The Seattle-based fivesome reunited with former member and longtime producer Matt Bayles(Mastodon, Isis, Cursive) here to create a guitar-laden 10-track record that is heavy on both technicality and pop songcraft.
Vinyl LP pressing. 2022 release, the fourth album from the singer and rapper. The album is the follow-up to her 2019 album Cuz I Love You, which peaked at number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart and was nominated for Album of the Year at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. Live At Barrowland (180 Gram Vinyl, Gatefold LP Jacket)
Live archive release. In November 2014, The Jesus and Mary Chain celebrated three decades of their incendiary cult-classic debut album, Psychocandy, with a run of tour dates in which the infamous Scottish group played the album in full for the very first time in the band's history. As part of the Psychocandy tour, the Mary Chain descended on Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom - a legendary venue down the road from where the Reid brothers grew up in neighboring East Kilbride - and tore through the songs that would propel them to worldwide acclaim upon Psychocandy's release in 1985. The Barrowland performance - an equal-parts deafening and blinding assault on the senses - was cut to vinyl by engineer Noel Summerville and originally released in 2015. Fast forward to 2022 and the Live at Barrowland album is now being reissued by Fuzz Club Records.
