Larry Mullins + Mike Watt's TV Eye 7” features their unique take on the classic tune, divided into two parts. It is available exclusively for RSD 2023, and is limited to 1,000 copies worldwide. Half of the pressing comes on color vinyl, with the other half on standard black vinyl. The two editions will be randomly mixed and shipped, so you’re in for a surprise.

The soundtrack to a 2022 Canadian film that had a theatrical release and is now set for streaming.The score has been written by 3D/Robert Del Naja from Massive Attack, and also includes works by poet and star of the film Saul Williams, Trent Reznor along with tracks by Bob Marley, UG, The Gladiators and Jackie Edwards.

I really just wanted to start this next chapter with something that feels good. It's breezy, it's happy, and I hope people hear that."

One Hot Minute is the sixth studio album by the American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, released on September 12, 1995, on Warner Bros. Records. The worldwide success of the band's previous album, Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991), caused guitarist John Frusciante to become uncomfortable with their status, eventually quitting mid-tour in 1992. One Hot Minute was the only album that guitarist Dave Navarro recorded with the band. His presence altered the Red Hot Chili Peppers' sound considerably. It contains fewer sexual themes than previous records and explores darker subject matters, such as drug use, depression, anguish, and grief. It also re-integrated use of heavy metal guitar riffs. Vocalist Anthony Kiedis, who had resumed addictions to cocaine and heroin in 1994 after being sober for more than five years, approached his lyricism with a reflective outlook on drugs and their harsh effects. Underneath his mysterious metal mask, MF Doom hides the cachet underground legends are made of. After his first group KMD's sophomore album Black Bastards was shelved by Elektra in 1994, and his blood brother Subroc - one half of the sibling rap duo - passed away, surviving frontman Zev Love X slowly mutated into the supervillain MC known as MF Doom, and the rap world is better for it.

Beggars Arkive will release a long-awaited vinyl reissue of THE CULT’S second album LOVE on February 2023.

THE CULT is fronted by Ian Astbury on vocals and Billy Duffy on guitar. Their music and albums at this point need no introduction as they have cemented themselves over the years since they began in 1983, as one of the greatest rock bands around.

Love was the Cult’s second album, originally released in 1985. It was their breakthrough and produced many singles including “Rain”, “Revolution” and the epic anthem “She Sells Sanctuary” - songs that still resonate today - in fact “She Sells Sanctuary” was recently featured in Season Two of the hit TV show Euphoria. The album eventually defined their career, but at the time, it flew in the face of everything that was going on in music.

Ian discussed the sonic choice with Metal Hammer a few years ago: “There were certain guidelines in the post-punk, new wave movement, and that was to stay clearly away from long hair and guitar solos,” says Ian Astbury. “So for us that was like, ‘Great! That’s exactly where we’re gonna start!’ If that’s where we’re not supposed to be according to some erudite journalist, then that’s exactly where we’re starting. I wanted to find out what the taboo was all about. Then you hear Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin and The Doors, and suddenly it’s like, ‘What is this? We’re not supposed to listen to this? You’re kidding me!’ We’ve always had a punk rock attitude, but it’s less reactionary and more dynamic. Rebels respond to a situation in a way that’s not just being contrary, there’s a visceral and energetic response.

It marked the first of three full-length collaborations with producer Prince Paul, which would become the critical and commercial peak of both parties. Critically, as well as commercially, the album was a success. It contains the singles, "Me Myself and I", "The Magic Number, " "Buddy, " and "Eye Know". The album title came from the Johnny Cash song "Five Feet High and Rising". It is listed on Rolling Stone's 200 Essential Rock Records and The Source's 100 Best Rap Albums. When Village Voice held it's annual Pazz & Jop Critics Poll for 1989, 3 Feet High and Rising was ranked #1. It was also listed on the Rolling Stone's The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Released amid the 1989 boom in gangsta rap, which gravitated towards hardcore, confrontational, violent lyrics, de la Soul's uniquely positive style made them an oddity beginning with the first single, "Me, Myself and I". Their positivity meant many observers labeled them a "hippie" group, based on their declaration of the "D.A.I.S.Y. Age" (Da. Inner. Soul. Yall). Sampling artists as diverse as Hall & Oates, Steely Dan and The Turtles, 3 Feet High and Rising is often viewed as the stylistic beginning of 1990s alternative hip hop (and especially jazz rap).

Short Bus is the 1995 platinum-selling debut album by Filter, the alternative/industrial band formed by original Nine Inch Nails touring guitarist Richard Patrick and guitarist/programmer Brian Liesegang. Short Bus ended up going platinum, selling over one million copies, largely due to the success of the band's single "Hey Man Nice Shot." Richard Patrick has gone on to name bands such as Pantera, Skinny Puppy, Helmet and Big Black as influences for the album's sound, which is guitar-heavy and features the use of a drum machine for percussion. Muddy Waters was one of the most important figures in post-war blues, influencing some of the most significant rock musicians of his era. He was one of the most prominent, in a relatively small coterie of performers, who effectively invented and defined the approach to amplified guitar-based blues, in the hotbed of the genre, Chicago, and much of what has happened since then reflects Muddy's rich legacy. This 14-track collection, featuring such instantly recognisable numbers as I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man, Got My Mojo Working and I'm Ready, offers an entertaining overview of his recordings aimed at the commercial market, especially in the context of an R&B scene which was changing rapidly during a decade and a half of musical evolution and revolution. A delightful celebration of his unique style which became the template for every electric blues performer.

The album was originally released on LP and cassette, with sides labeled "Side One" and "Side A", and was the duo's first album to be released on the then-new compact disc format.
