Take Me Back To Eden - CD
Regular price $15.98 Save $-15.982023 release. With fan worship more intense than ever, and worldwide interest and intrigue growing at runaway speed, Sleep Token are set to reach bold new heights with their third studio album, Take Me Back To Eden. This is the spectacular final chapter to the trilogy that started with their 2019 debut album, Sundowning. More than an hour of music across 12 distinctive tracks, it features the heaviest moments thus far recorded by Sleep Token ("Chokehold" & "The Summoning"), along with some of the most commercial and certainly the most emotional, with a slew of other tones, textures and tangents touched on in-between. Sleep Token boldly reconfirm a true love of the epic (the title track is eight minutes plus), whilst further exploring and developing those elements that keep the music removed from any kind of pack, howling at a moon that's all it's own. What comes next, only time will tell, but what's certain is that it won't be bound by convention.

Her elevation to 'royal' status is indeed not just a function of her hit making ability but of her unique inventiveness as a musician who fuses art and soul seamlessly. Indeed, it's often been said that Aretha could take 'happy birthday' and turn it into a veritable opus and while those who know her will testify to her culinary skills in the kitchen, it is her mastery as a musical chef that is evident on each and every one of those forty-plus albums, many of which have achieved gold and platinum status.

My Head Is An Animal
Regular price $41.99 Save $-41.99Of Monsters and Men is an amiable group of day dreamers who craft folkie pop songs. With the Icelandic group's bright, trumpeting single "Little Talks" winning over one blog at a time, Nanna Bryndis Hilmarsdottir and her bandmates (co-singer/guitarist Ragnar "Raggi" Þórhallsson, guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, piano/accordion player Árni Guðjónsson, and bassist Kristján Páll Kristjánsson) are well on their way to becoming citizens of the world.
Nanna, who began as the acoustic act Songbird, recruited extra hands to bolster her sound for a solo show. She liked how her vocals commingled with Raggi's, so they started writing songs together and in 2010 morphed into Of Monsters and Men. As victors of 2010's Músiktilraunir, the new group earned a slot on the influential Iceland Airwaves festival later that year, followed by Seattle's radio station KEXP posting "Little Talks" from a Living Room Session filmed there, setting the telltale ripple effect in motion. By the summer of 2011 "Little Talks" hit #1 in the band's native country, and "people around the world seemed to be listening to us," marvels Raggi. The band was asked to perform again at Iceland Airwaves 2011, where KEXP then anointed the group as "easily the most buzzed about band."
Though their reach is growing broader, the group's appeal has remained distinct. Their music is as fantastical as it is pretty. For inspiration, they often reference random stories they've read. The chanting, tribal "Six Weeks" was inspired by the true tale of American frontiersman Hugh Glass, seemingly left for dead after a bear attack. As for the swelling, epic "From Finner," "it's about a whale that has a house on its back" says Raggi "on which people travel across the ocean, exploring different places and having adventures." "Little Talks," explores loneliness and insanity, while "Love Love Love" ruefully ruminates on heartbreak. "If you listen to the lyrics, they're not as uplifting," he says. "But our music is meant to be fun to sing along to."
Their full-length debut, My Head Is an Animal immediately reached #1 in their native Iceland and will now see its worldwide release via Universal Records. The album features production by Of Monsters and Men, Aron Amaarsson and Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Modest Mouse, Cold War Kids) while Craig Silvey (Florence + The Machine, Arcade Fire) handled mixing duties. My Head Is An Animal sounds like a dream and its pure bliss to listen to!

Chain Yer Dragon
Regular price $49.99 Save $-49.99On August 14th Goose will release it's fifth studio album, 'Chain Yer Dragon'. The band's second release in 2025 follows the success of April's 'Everything Must Go', 'Chain Yer Dragon' welcomes listeners into a rich, fully-realized world of music and familiar characters, beckoning them to follow the lights and sounds through dingy barrooms and late nights on the road that dissolve into the clarity of a fresh dawn. 'Chain Yer Dragon' showcases Goose's versatility, laying down 70's-infused rock songs that feel lived-in and that come to life through improvisation. Playing with form, 'Chain Yer Dragon" is buoyed by a natural production style that gives the album the raw, freewheeling feel of the band's electric live shows.
With tracks that span Goose's musical career, 'Chain Yer Dragon' serves as a connective tissue between some of the group's earliest, much-beloved songwriting and it's current evolution as a four-piece. Featuring live staples like "Echo of A Rose," "Empress of Organos," "Rockdale," and fan favorites like "Factory Fiction," 'Chain Yer Dragon' embraces the band's origins. The album's opening, featuring new tracks like "Madalena" and "Royal," flesh out the universe of The Night Rays Band, expanding on ideas first conceived by guitarist and vocalist Rick Mitarotonda and his songwriting partner Matt Campbell back in 2011. "There's a world-building component that feels like the driving force of this record," Mitarotonda said. "Many of these character-driven songs come from a time and place where we were finding our voice musically and it's been so gratifying to not only revisit it through the lens of who and where we are now, but to expand on it. These songs have been on a journey, and it feels right for them to finally have a home now." 'Chain Yer Dragon' offers personalities, locales, and music to get lost in. Lyrical callbacks and textured storytelling tell a story that, while not linear, feels cohesive. The record pushes Goose's ever-expanding musical catalog forward while serving as a reminder that sometimes, to go forward, you have to embrace the past.

Louder Than Love
Regular price $30.98 Save $-30.981989 Major Label Debut Newly Remastered from the Original Analog Tapes by Bob Ludwig
Louder Than Love, Soundgarden's second full-length studio album and major label debut (after the independently released, Grammy-nominated Ultramega OK), was originally released by A&M Records on September 5, 1989, and was the last to include bassist Hiro Yamamoto. Recorded with producer Terry Date at Seattle's London Bridge Studios, it announced the arrival of a major force on the emerging Pacific Northwest rock scene, later to include Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
The album peaked on the Billboard chart at #108, yielding the singles, "Loud Love," "Hands All Over" and the radio-only promo "Get on the Snake," the latter of which was featured in the 1989 movie Lost Angels. Guns N' Roses later paid tribute to the band by covering "Big Dumb Sex" on their 1993 album, The Spaghetti Incident? as part of a medley with T. Rex's "Buick MacKane." Q magazine named the album one of the "50 Heaviest Albums of All Time" in 2001.
Newly remastered from the original analog tapes by Bob Ludwig, UMe is pleased to reissue Louder Than Love on 180-gram vinyl in August 2016 complete with an accompanying digital download card for 320kbps MP4 AAC audio.

Atrocity Exhibition
Regular price $32.99 Save $-32.99Atrocity Exhibition is one of the freshest and boldest-sounding rap albums in recent memory, a sonic swirl inspired by the work of Talking Heads and Joy Division that nonetheless sounds like nothing else from the past or present. Featuring contributions from producers like Evian Christ, Petite Noir (who also lends vocals to the world-weary clang of "Rolling Stone"), Black Milk, the Alchemist and frequent collaborator Paul White, the album is full of laser-beam guitars, gym-teacher whistles, creaking vocal samples, and air-raid drones. It is the most intriguing take on hallucinatory rap since the heady heights of Cold Vein or Madvillainy.
This album is a highly personal take on Danny Brown's ruminations on life and the changes that have occurred - and those that didn't - following the ups and downs of career success. Atrocity Exhibition makes for a thrilling third installment in his singular biopic, one not to be missed.
