Give My Love To London - Red
Regular price $23.98 Save $-23.98GATEFOLD 180G RED VINYL. Faithfull's previous four albums in the 21st century have all been strong, but this one tops them. Her writing collaborators here include Nick Cave, Anna Calvi, Ed Harcourt, Patrick Leonard, and Tom McRae. Her bandmates are an all-star unit too, and include Harcourt, Adrian Utley, Dimitri Tikovoi, Rob and Warren Ellis, and strings. Cave co-wrote one song with her (the tender "Deep Water") and one for her: the glorious "Late Victorian Holocaust," the album's hinge piece. Give My Love to London is as complete a portrait of the artist - at least from the late '70s on - as we've ever had. In total, it reveals no abatement in her creative renaissance. This reissue is a special one with a red colored vinyl edition.

Before The Poison - Clear
Regular price $23.98 Save $-23.98180G CLEAR VINYL. Before the Poison is an album that concerns itself with both sides of love, friendship, and redemption, not desolation or desperation. That said, there is plenty of human shadow in these ten songs. PJ Harvey wrote three songs here, co-wrote a pair with Faithfull, and is present on all of them. Nick Cave co-wrote three with the singer and his Bad Seeds back her on these tracks. She also co-wrote one a piece with Blur's Damon Albarn and composer Jon Brion. Along with Harvey and Cave, Rob Ellis and Hal Willner aided in production. Therefore, Before the Poison, like it's predecessor, Kissin' Time, is an album of collaborations. But unlike that offering, this one is seamless; it's songs are sequenced impeccably and all feel of a piece linked by emotional thematics. Before the Poison is poetic and unnerving; it stands alone in her catalog in the same way that Broken English did - but this time, on the other side of the mirror. This reissue is a special one with a clear colored vinyl edition.

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
Regular price $26.98 Save $-26.982003 reissue on 180-gram vinyl LP. Aussie fans first heard this album in 1976, but American audiences didn't catch it until it was slightly modified and released in 1981. Any way they cut it, "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" was a huge hit. Written by original lead singer Bon Scott and brothers Angus & Malcolm Young, the album peaked at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart in 1981. Hits included the title track "Big Balls", "Problem Child" and "Squealer." The band's early production team of Harry Vanda and George Young helped to craft this hard rock classic. This version is the superior sounding re-mastered 2003 reissue on 180-gram vinyl. Talk about high voltage! The boys are at their greasy, gritty, tawdry early peak, with diesel-fueled thundering guitars and take-no-prisoners attitude.

Easy Come Easy Go - White
Regular price $32.98 Save $-32.98GATEFOLD 180G WHITE VINYL. Songstress Marianne Faithfull last collaborated with producer Hal Willner on her iconic Strange Weather album in 1987 and the match also feels effortless and natural here. Like Strange Weather, Easy Come Easy Go is a covers collection, featuring Faithfull in different musical settings and interpreting the songs of everyone from Merle Haggard to Smokey Robinson to Duke Ellington to Randy Newman to the Decemberists to Morrissey with a killer guest list including Antony Hegarty, Rufus Wainwright, Teddy Thompson, Kate & Anna McGarrigle, Jarvis Cocker, Jenni Muldaur, Sean Lennon, Warren Ellis, Nick Cave, and Keith Richards. The core band on this set includes old friends like Marc Ribot and Greg Cohen as well as drummer Jim White, Rob Burger, Doug Weiselman, Steve Weisberg, Barry Reynolds, Steven Bernstein, Marty Ehrlich, and Lenny Pickett. The sense of stylistic sprawl on these 12 songs is incredible. For example, the album opener, a cover of Dolly Parton's "Down from Dover," features the full band and guests numbering 18 strong! Faithfull's trademark deep-throated, whiskey-and-cigarettes-ravaged voice shows up in excellent form and take you on journeys through love, lust, tragedy, and longing and bring you home again. This reissue is a special one with a white colored vinyl edition.

Sky Blue Sky
Regular price $39.98 Save $-39.98Wilco's first studio album in three years, Sky Blue Sky, has been perhaps the most ardently awaited release of '07. Eager fans had taken to shouting out pleas for information to bandleader Jeff Tweedy during his recent solo acoustic tour, and the web chatter has been virtually deafening. Critic Katie Toms of London's the Observer addressed fan speculation in an advance review, declaring, with unalloyed delight: Boy, was it worth the wait... Simple and soothing, yet rich and rewarding, this is an album you unknowingly yearn for, like a cool hand on a hot forehead. A great album from a band in their prime Sky Blue Sky is as eloquently straightforward as Wilco's last studio recording, the Grammy-winning a Ghost Is Born, was daringly experimental. Tweedy's lyrics deal forthrightly with romantic separation and reconciliation, their bittersweet quality giving way, as the album progresses, to a more uplifting, redemptive mood. Tweedy quite literally banishes the darkness on the penultimate track, the inspiring, gospel-tinged What Light the album's first single and concludes with a deeply affecting, 'til-death-do-us-part lullaby, on and on and On. There are hints of early-seventies Southern California folk-rock sweetness in the harmonies throughout the band-produced Sky Blue Sky, a bluesy Allman Brothers feel to the guitar /keyboard interplay, and plenty of brash guitar solos that take songs like You Are My Face and Shake It Off in thrilling, unexpected directions. This is especially good news for the crowds that will fill the Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, Tennessee, this June, where the band plays the first U.S. date of it's 2007 world tour in support of Sky Blue Sky. Principal songwriter Tweedy cut these tracks in the band's Chicago studio with members John Stirratt (bass, vocals), Glenn Kotche (drums), Mike Jorgensen (keyboards), Nels Cline (guitars) and Pat Sansone (guitars, keyboards, vocals) all of whom are also becoming notable performers in their own right. A Ghost Is Born co-producer Jim O'Rourke returns as music contributor. The is the double vinyl version. It comes in 180 gram half speed master by Stan Richter. Plating was pressing was done at R.T.I.

Invisible Touch (1986)
Regular price $24.98 Save $-24.98Vinyl LP pressing. Invisible Touch is the thirteenth studio album by Genesis, released on 6 June 1986. After taking a break in group activity for each member to continue with their solo projects in 1984, the band reconvened in October 1985 to write and record Invisible Touch with engineer and producer Hugh Padgham. As with their previous album, it was written entirely through group improvisations and no material developed prior to recording was used. Invisible Touch was a worldwide success and reached #1 on the UK Albums Chart and #3 on the US Billboard 200. It remains the band's highest selling album after it was certified multi-platinum for over 1.2 million copies sold in the UK and 6 million sold in the US. Genesis became the first band and foreign act to have five top five singles on the US Billboard Hot 100, with "Invisible Touch" being their first and only song to reach #1 on the charts.

Integrated Tech Solutions
Regular price $29.98 Save $-29.98On Integrated Tech Solutions-a concept album about an organization offering "lifestyle- and industry-specific applications designed to curate a desired multi-experience"-Aesop Rock wields insidious corporatespeak as a tool to pry the parasitic business culture away from the parts of life that truly matter, while picking apart the charlatan language. On "Mindful Solutionism," as the wheel evolves seamlessly into modern agriculture-and then into atomic bombs, cigarettes, and surveillance cameras, Aes sums the spiral up in just a few words: "We cannot be trusted with the stuff that we come up with." The album sounds like the past and future at once. Largely self-produced, Integrated Tech Solutions catches Aesop Rock at his leanest and most innovative, leveraging "Solutionism"'s careening bounce against the wistful "By the River" or the slow creep of "Salt and Pepper Squid." The effect is a record that sounds itself like an organism growing, mutating, hurtling toward profitability-and then destruction. As fans have come to expect though, Aesop is cuttingly funny and slyly profound at once. "I've been doing laps of the lost worlds," he raps on "All City Nerve Map," sounding at once wearied and reinvigorated. "I can draw a map to the raw nerve."

After co-writing the first In Tua Nua single, she left school to focus on music, studying voice and piano at the Dublin College of Music before relocating to London in 1985. Released in September 1994, Universal Mother was described by Sinéad as "the first attempt to try to expose what was really underneath a lot of the anger of the other records". The album features sparse, striking but delicate arrangements on intense and honest songs. Standout moments include the singles 'Thank You For Hearing Me' and 'Fire On Babylon', along with contributions from Germaine Greer (on opening track 'Germaine'), and Sinéad's son.

Elvis 30 #1 Hits
Regular price $36.98 Save $-36.98Limited double vinyl LP pressing. ELV1S: 30 #1 Hits is a 2002 greatest hits collection of songs by rock 'n' roll icon Elvis Presley that reached #1 on the Australian, United Kingdom and United States albums charts. The album is the first Elvis Presley album to feature the remix of "A Little Less Conversation" by Junkie XL that was released earlier in the year and reached #1 in the UK and Australia. This style of compilation, dovetailing #1 hits from the two largest record markets in the world, was inspired by the Beatles' 1, which had become a worldwide hit in 2000. Conversely, the latter album had been somewhat inspired by Presley's The Number Ones Hits, released thirteen years earlier, in 1987. The Number One Hits was, in fact, the first compilation of number one hits by any single artist or band released on LP or CD in any country in the world. When released, ELV1S: 30 #1 Hits was an instant success, going straight to the top of the albums charts in several countries and shipping mass quantities around the world. By 2003 the album had received certifications in more than 15 regions and had sold millions of copies worldwide. A companion album, 2nd to None, was released the next year.

I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got
Regular price $30.98 Save $-30.98Limited 180gm vinyl LP repressing. I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got became Sinéad O'Connor's popular breakthrough on the strength of the stunning Prince cover "Nothing Compares 2 U," which topped the pop charts for a month. But even it's remarkable intimacy wasn't adequate preparation for the harrowing confessionals that composed the majority of the album. Sinéad O'Connor ranked among the most distinctive and controversial pop music stars of the alternative era, the first and in many ways, the most influential of the numerous female performers whose music dominated airwaves throughout the last decade of the 20th century. Brash and outspoken - her shaved head, angry visage, and shapeless wardrobe a direct challenge to popular culture's long-prevailing notions of femininity and sexuality - O'Connor irrevocably altered the image of women in rock; railing against long-standing stereotypes simply by asserting herself not as a sex object, but as a serious artist, she kick-started a revolt which led the way for performers ranging from Liz Phair to Courtney Love to Alanis Morissette.

Underdressed at the Symphony
Regular price $24.98 Save $-24.98Faye Webster's songs are direct lines to the human subconscious, and Underdressed at the Symphony documents what happens once you begin to build a new self from the ashes of your old routines. This rebirth isn't flashy or definitive, but is instead a series of seemingly mundane moments that, scattered across weeks and months, sneak their way toward something like healing. Yes, there's a breakup in play, but Webster is not documenting the heartbreak of a breakup so much as she's navigating the contours of heartbreak itself. Recorded at Sonic Ranch Studios in Texas with her longtime band, Webster is accompanied on Underdressed at the Symphony by Matt Stoessel's arcs of shimmering pedal steel, the plaintive, unhurried drums of Charles Garner, and, occasionally, additional guitarwork from Wilco's Nels Cline. The title of the album refers to Webster's post-breakup compulsion to visit the symphony on a whim, usually buying a ticket at the last possible second.
