Limited double vinyl LP pressing in gatefold jacket. Neon Bible is the second studio album by Canadian indie rock band Arcade Fire, released in March, 2007. The majority of the album was recorded at a church the band bought and renovated in Farnham, Quebec. The album is the first to feature drummer Jeremy Gara, and the first to include violinist Sarah Neufeld among the band's core line-up. Neon Bible became Arcade Fire's highest-charting album at the time, debuting on the Billboard 200 at #2. Neon Bible was cited as an example of the popularization of indie rock. Having produced most of the album themselves, the band decided to bring in someone else for the mixing. Tracks were sent to several well-known mixers/producers to experiment with and after deciding they liked Nick Launay's ideas best, the band invited him to their studio to work on the songs further.

After 25 years, The Get Up Kids' classic second album, Something to Write Home About, is still recognizable as the same electrifying, scrappy album it was upon release, but also transformed by time into one of the most seminal records of the band's scene. To celebrate the album's 25th anniversary, Polyvinyl Records is thrilled to announce a special deluxe reissue. The album has been meticulously remastered from the original tapes and will be paired with a slew of bonus material, including rare demo versions of multiple songs from the album as well as never-before released rarities from the era. The arrival of a new Mogwai album - their eleventh - is cause for great celebration. The album's title, The Bad Fire, is a working-class Glaswegian term for Hell. It reflects the difficult time that members of the band were going through. New to the studio was American producer John Congleton, known for his work with Explosions In The Sky, Sigur Rós, John Grant and pretty much everyone in between. Congleton's work can be heard on the album's three singles. The album opener "God Gets You Back" sounds like Daft Punk being hunted by My Bloody Valentine, while "Fanzine Made Of Flesh" sounds like a victory parade for a baby yeti; and "Lion Rumpus" does actually sound like a lion rumpus. The music of Mogwai is a difficult thing to describe, but an easy thing to experience. At punishing volume, it can annihilate your body, leaving you as little more than a head which should by rights fall helplessly to the ground. Yet the music contains an updraft, a sense of beauty encased in the onslaught. This holds you up, suspended and empowered, reminding you that paradise is your birthright. This is especially true of The Bad Fire. It may have been created in dark conditions, but all that is transcended by the act of four musicians working together here, now, in the moment - the only place where Mogwai exist.

This is the fourth Beak studio album, imaginatively titled . At it's core we always wanted it to be head music - listened to as an album, not as individual songs. This is why we are releasing this album with no singles or promo tracks. The recording and writing initially began in a house called Pen y Bryn in Talsarnau, Wales in the fallout from the weirdness of the COVID days. Remote and with only ourselves and the view of Portmeirion in the distance, we got to work. With the opening track, "Strawberry Line" (our tribute to our dear furry friend Alfie Barrow, who appears on the albums cover) as the metronomic guide for the album, we then resumed recording, as before, at Invada studios in Bristol, whilst still touring around Europe and North/South America. After playing hundreds of gigs and festivals over the years we felt that touring had started to influence our writing to the point we weren't sure who we were anymore. So we decided to go back to the origins of where we were at on our first album - with zero expectations and just playing together in a room. Hopefully we have achieved this.

Double vinyl LP pressing. Originally issued in January 2005, 'The Secret Migration' was the sixth album by Mercury Rev. In the UK, where the band were signed to V2, the album spawned two singles, 'In A Funny Way' and 'Across Yer Ocean'. Back in 2020, Cherry Red unveiled a deluxe 5CD edition of this sometimes overlooked album, compiled and co-ordinated in conjunction with Mercury Rev's twin lynchpins, Jonathan Donaghue and Sean 'Grasshopper' Mackowiak. Four years on, 'The Secret Migration' is treated to it's first-ever reissue on vinyl - and with the added bonus of a second disc. Joining the original album are various B-sides and originally unissued out-takes. Among the bonus are cover versions of Bobby Charles' Bearsville gem 'Tennessee Blues'; 'Afraid', originally by Chicago rock band Dovetail Joint; two Paul Westerberg songs, The Replacements' 'Androgynous' and his solo effort 'Good Day'; Daniel Johnston's 'Blue Clouds'; and 'I Never Had It So Good' by Paul Williams. Formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1989, MERCURY REV quick grew to become leading figures in left field alternative rock. Earlier albums veered towards experimental, off-kilter psychedelia but by the end of the decade, the band had developed their own brand of serene, piano-based Americana with the acclaimed, best-selling LP 'Deserter's Songs' (1998). Mercury Rev are currently active with forthcoming shows over the coming months around a brand new studio album.
