Alien Ant Farm is an American rock band formed in Riverside, California in 1996. Their third album 'TruAnt' was released in 2003 and produced by brothers Robert and Dean DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots. The album reached #42 on the Billboard 200 album chart and includes the singles "These Days" and "Glow". 'TruAnt' is available on vinyl for the first time and includes a 4page booklet with lyrics.

Since forming at Tufts University in 1992, Guster has become one of the leading indie/alternative bands, releasing eight critically acclaimed albums in 25 years. Their 1997 album Goldfly is now available for the first time ever on vinyl. The release is a cult favorite of the band's devoted fan base. In fact, the track "Airplane Song" has even inspired a fan tradition of throwing ping pong balls onstage when the band plays it live, thanks to the fact that the sound of a ping pong game can be heard on the track's outro.

The Nightmare Before Christmas tells the story of Jack Skellington, a character from "Halloween Town" who opens a portal to "Christmas Town" and decides to celebrate the holiday, with some dastardly and comical consequences. Elfman wrote the film score and voiced the singing role of Jack. The principal voice cast also includes Chris Sarandon, Catherine O'Hara, William Hickey, Ken Page, Paul Reubens and Glenn Shadix.

On her new album Sun Without the Heat, McCalla brings more playfulness and joy than she has on previous records when she speaks to the concerns that have shaped her career, mainly including an ethos in which you must look back at lost and erased histories before you can embrace a forward vision of Afrofuturism and the importance of music making to heal and forge relationships across differences. Across Sun Without the Heat's ten tracks, she achieves this with music that combines jazz, Haitian Twoubadou, American blues, folk and Brazilian Tropicalismo. Born in New York City to Haitian emigrants and activists, McCalla possesses a stunning mastery of the cello, tenor banjo and guitar. A founding member of Our Native Daughters alongside Rhiannon Giddens, Amysthyst Kiah and Allison Russell and an alumna of Grammy award-winning band The Carolina Chocolate Drops, McCalla has also received considerable praise and attention for her solo works, including 2014's Vari-Colored Songs: A Tribute to Langston Hughes, which prompted the New York Times to rave that "her voice is disarmingly natural, and her settings are elegantly succinct" and 2022's Breaking The Thermometer (4/5 review from The Guardian). Lyrically on Sun Without the Heat, McCalla draws from the writings of Black feminist Afrofuturist thinkers Octavia Butler, Alexis Pauline Gumbs and Adrienne Maree Brown, among others, with frequent themes being grief, connection and motherhood. Like these authors, McCalla is thinking hard about collaboration as a means of creative expression, community thinking, personal salvation, and rectifying social injustice. "The stories we've been told about ourselves and the stories that we have to learn to undo the stories we've been told," she explains."Sometimes these are painful stories to tell. This is especially vivid in the title song, "Sun Without the Heat."

Apple Cores is the latest full-length album from New York tenor saxophonist James Brandon Lewis, "one of the fiercest sounds in jazz today" (The Guardian) with a "penchant for unbound exploration" (Pitchfork). Informed by the rhythms and textures of hip-hop and funk while remaining rooted in jazz, Apple Cores was recorded with Chad Taylor (drums/mbira) and Josh Werner (bass/guitar) over the course of two intense, entirely improvised sessions. The album takes it's name and intention from the column that poet and jazz theorist Amiri Baraka wrote for DownBeat in the 1960s. In addition to Baraka, the influence of another jazz giant looms mightily over Apple Cores: trumpeter and multi-instrumentalist, Don Cherry. In a testament to Cherry's influence over the music that the trio is playing, Lewis designed each song title as a cryptogram of sorts, making subtle references to Cherry's life and music. Apple Cores further cements Lewis as one of the provocative and prolific musical voices of his generation. It follows his breakthrough with JazzTimes' Album of the Year Jesup Wagon (2021), a dreamlike mosaic of gospel, folk-blues, and catcalling brass bands inspired by inventor George Washington Carver, and Eye Of I (2023), his joyous and exploratory debut for ANTI-.

Limited clear vinyl LP pressing. The last place you'll find Benjamin Booker is where he was yesterday. Following two critically acclaimed albums marked by his signature fuzzy americana-inspired garage rock and soul sound, world tours, and opening slots with the likes of Jack White, Tame Impala, and Neil Young... he disappeared. "I wanted to get to this sound, but I didn't know how. At some point I decided I'm going to find it or die trying." He spent years tinkering in a loft near Skid Row in Los Angeles before ending up across the globe in Perth, Australia. Trading stems via email, Booker crafted his third album with LA underground hip-hop mastermind Kenny Segal. The new album, LOWER, mixes experimental hip hop, dream and noise pop, and singer-songwriter music into something that is entirely his own. Through the changes, Booker's lyrical exploration of pain and longing have been persistent.

Vinyl LP pressing. Norma Tanega is best-known for her single 'Walkin' My Cat Named Dog' which became an unlikely international hit in 1966. It not only brought her into the spotlight, but to the UK where she toured, appeared on TV and started a long-term relationship with Dusty Springfield. Tanega would later move to the UK to live with Springfield. Still a musical force she signed to the UK arm of RCA-Victor and in 1971 released a single 'Nothing Much Is Happening Today' / 'Antarctic Rose' and an album called "I Don't Think It Will Hurt If You Smile". Neither sold strongly and splitting up with Springfield, Tanega returned to America. In recent years original copies of "I Don't Think It Will Hurt If You Smile" have become highly sought after by collectors of folk and psychedelic folk and change hands for up to £400. The album has, until now, never been reissued on vinyl. Produced by Don Paul, Tanega worked in the studio with multi-instrumentalist Mike Moran and the results were an amazing confection. 'Nothing Much Is Happening Today' might have been an unlikely single but today sounds like an earworm especially when halfway through it sounds like Pink Floyd are backing Tanega. 'What More In The World Could Anyone Be Looking For' appears in two versions - one lushly arranged and the other presented as simple folk song. Both are winners. 'A Goodbye Song' is a small treasure box about losing love. The album is glued together by a number of short instrumentals from harpsichord pieces to strummed magnificence. All told "I Don't Think It Will Hurt If You Smile" is a lost classic and Ace are delighted to put it back on vinyl where it deserves.

Nearly seven years since their debut seven inch release, Tone Scientists are back with the five song "Kiiroi Tori" EP. The project joins Mike Watt and Bucky Pope, the latter of whom assumes the producer role this time around, with drummer John Herndon of Tortoise and two longtime Watt collaborators, flute/sax player Vince Meghrouni and keyboard player Pete Mazich. Like their first release, the EP includes an ambitious Sun Ra cover, with their distinctive take on "The Sun One", along with four tunes penned by Watt and Pope. The release will be available on two limited 12" vinyl pressings, one black and another on yellow swirl vinyl, as well as digital formats. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner (DSG Mastering) at 45RPM, with vinyl pressed at Furnace Record Pressing.

Gold Vinyl. It's been a half century since Pavlov's Dog burst onto the burgeoning progressive rock scene of the early 1970s. Hailing from the city of St. Louis, Missouri, their heady blend of rock, classical and folk music turned them into cult legends. The band has seen lots of lineup changes and internal turmoil over the years, leading to extended breaks between album releases. But today, David Surkamp - lead singer, main songwriter and last remaining original member of Pavlov's Dog - continues to fly the banner high, accompanied by an accomplished group of musicians that is a credit to the band's good name. This year - exactly 50 years since Pavlov Dog recorded their legendary debut Pampered Menial - the group plans to re-release an anniversary version of the album as a golden Vinyl. Pampered Menial, recorded in 1974, is regarded as a milestone in the progressive rock genre. Produced by the team of Murry Krugman and Sandy Pearlman (Blue Öyster Cult), the album opens with "Julia" - the ballad that made the band famous. Moreover, the nine tracks - most of them written by singer David Surkamp - create the blueprint for their unmistakable sound. Prog magazine calls the album "a thrilling experience, with impassioned folk ballads, psych rock and irresistible drama." Pampered Menial ranked #71 in eclipsed magazine's listing of the 150 Best Prog Rock Albums.
