The album contains the hit singles "Girls, Girls, Girls", "You're All I Need", and the MTV favorite "Wild Side". It was the band's final collaboration with producer Tom Werman, who had produced the band's two previous albums, Shout at the Devil and Theatre of Pain. Like those albums, Girls, Girls, Girls would achieve quadruple platinum status, selling over 4 million copies and reaching number two on the Billboard 200. The album marked a change to a blues-rock influenced sound, which was met with positive reception.

Birds In The Trap Sing Mcknight [Explicit Content]
Regular price $34.00 Save $-34.00Reigning triumphantly at the top, Travis Scott's critically acclaimed second full-length album, Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight (Epic Records/Grand Hustle), landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. This marks the platinum-selling hip-hop maverick's first No. 1 bow on the Top 200 and firmly cements his status as one of music's modern leaders.
Pitchfork claimed, "Scotts's second studio album, Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, is the Houston rapper's most concise and cohesive project to date," adding, "He has always been a mood-setter and a vocalist, and he is in full command of the vibe, tone, and mood of this entire project more than ever." W Magazine fittingly dubbed him, "Your new rap superhero" while Billboard described the album as "his own trap opera."
Over the course of 14 tracks, Travis threads together an engaging, enthralling, and epic patchwork of anesthetized and apocalyptic production, mind-numbing raps, and glorious hooks punctuated by an A-list cast of collaborators. Kendrick Lamar delivers hard-hitting and hypnotic bars in the middle of "Goosebumps" just before a signature chantable chorus. "The Ends" veers between a haunting hum and a verse-for-verse tandem of our protagonist and Andre 3000 of OutKast. "Way Back" drips into a searing guitar solo as "Sweet Sweet" fires off one of his stickiest hooks to date. By the time The Weeknd and Travis serve up a smooth send-off on "Wonderful," you're in the trap for life, and you won't want to leave...

Wave of Mutilation: Best of Pixies
Regular price $35.00 Save $-35.00The Pixies Wave Of Mutilation: Best Of The Pixies on 2LP
One of the most revered college-radio bands of the late 1980s and early '90s, the Pixies combined smart yet surreal pop with jagged, punk-influenced rock and, oddly enough, broke up just as the alternative music scene went mainstream. Fueled by Black Francis's oft-maniacal vocals and bizarrely catchy songs, the Boston-based quartet, rounded out by bassist/vocalist Kim Deal, guitarist Joey Santiago and drummer David Lovering, consistently crafted fascinating albums during their brief but headstrong run. This 23-track collection, released in tandem with their highly anticipated 2004 reunion tour, captures many of their finest moments.
Proceeding semi-chronologically, Wave Of Mutilation begins with the rambunctious ditty "Bone Machine." Other early gems include the strange anthem "Holiday Song," the anthropomorphic ode "Caribou" and Deal's signature song, "Gigantic." The band's beloved 1989 album, Doolittle, is amply represented by seven songs, including the pleading "Hey," the mischievous "Monkey Gone to Heaven," the fierce "Debaser" and the pop-perfect "Here Comes Your Man." Latter-day tunes include rockers such as "Dig for Fire," "Alec Eiffel" and "Planet of Sound," along with two B-sides, "Into the White" and an excellent cover of Neil Young's "Winterlong." If you're looking for the Pixies motherlode, this is it.

Tapestry
Regular price $26.00 Save $-26.00In 1972, in a first for a female writer/artist, the zeitgeist-shifting Tapestry won all three of the key Grammy Awards – record, song and album of the year – as well as best female vocalist honors for Carole King. With more than 25 million units sold, Tapestry remained the best-selling album by a female artist for a quarter century. It was No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for 15 consecutive weeks and remained on the Billboard charts for more than 300 weeks. Produced by Lou Adler, Tapestry's songs are woven into the fabric of pop culture. With iconic tracks like "(You Make Me Feel) Like A Natural Woman" and "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," this is the album that cemented King's reputation as the quintessential singer-songwriter, defining a new generation of music.
The 1971 effort included songs which were all written or co-written by Carole. Several of the songs on the album had already been hits for other artists such as Aretha Franklin's "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" and The Shirelles "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" both of which were co-written with Gerry Goffin. Also listed as a co-writer on "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" is Jerry Wexler. Another song, "Smackwater Jack" was also co-written with Goffin and two songs, "It's Too Late" and "Where You Lead," were co-written by Carole and Toni Stern.
In honor of the 50th Anniversary of Carole King's iconic album, Tapestry, Sony Legacy is excited to be reissuing the album on gatefold vinyl LP!

One Hot Minute
Regular price $29.00 Save $-29.00One Hot Minute is the sixth studio album by the American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, released on September 12, 1995, on Warner Bros. Records. The worldwide success of the band's previous album, Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991), caused guitarist John Frusciante to become uncomfortable with their status, eventually quitting mid-tour in 1992. One Hot Minute was the only album that guitarist Dave Navarro recorded with the band. His presence altered the Red Hot Chili Peppers' sound considerably. It contains fewer sexual themes than previous records and explores darker subject matters, such as drug use, depression, anguish, and grief. It also re-integrated use of heavy metal guitar riffs. Vocalist Anthony Kiedis, who had resumed addictions to cocaine and heroin in 1994 after being sober for more than five years, approached his lyricism with a reflective outlook on drugs and their harsh effects. Remastered by Bernie Grundman. 2012.

Harry's House - CD
Regular price $15.00 Save $-15.00Colored with tasteful harmonies and warm funk/R&B/future-soul sounds, Harry's House is the fully-realized third studio album from Grammy Award-winning superstar Harry Styles. Introduced by the record-breaking, reflective ode "As It Was," the vibrant 13-track collection was recorded in multiple locations across the UK, Los Angeles and Tokyo from 2020 to 2021. Self-described as his "biggest and the most fun, but by far the most intimate," Harry's House was written by Styles alongside frequent collaborators Kid Harpoon, Tyler Johnson, and Mitch Rowland. It follows-up the pop sensation's 2019 sophomore effort Fine Line and his 2017 self-titled solo debut.
In his Better Homes & Gardens cover story Styles revealed that his third record features more domesticated lyrics about "sitting in the garden" and "maple syrup, coffee, pancakes for two," with the realization that a "home feeling isn't something that you get from a house. It's more of an internal thing. You realize that when you stop for a minute." He adds, "Finally, it doesn't feel like my life is over if this album isn't a commercial success. I just want to make stuff that is right, that is fun, in terms of the process, that I can be proud of for a long time, that my friends can be proud of, that my family can be proud of, that my kids will be proud of one day."
No Code (25th Anniversary)
Regular price $39.00 Save $-39.00Sony Legacy presents a vinyl LP reissue of Pearl Jam's platinum-certified 1996 album No Code in celebration of its 25th anniversary. Available on the format for the first time since its original release, it features recreations of the original packaging, including the set of nine replica Polaroids/lyric cards. The 1996 sessions for No Code featured longtime producer Brendan O'Brien (his third consecutive collaboration with the band) and drummer Jack Irons, who'd joined the group at the end of the Vitalogy sessions. PJ explored new approaches to writing and recording here, developing songs out of jam sessions and eschewing their stadium-grunge style for self-examining ballads, garage rock and even psychedelic sounds. No Code became the band's third consecutive No. 1 album, with lead single "Who You Are" topping Billboard's Modern Rock chart.
A Tribute to Jack Johnson
Regular price $25.00 Save $-25.00Michael Henderson launches into an enormous boogie groove with Billy Cobham and John McLaughlin. Miles immediately leaves the control room to join in with them. He achieved exactly what he wanted for the soundtrack of the documentary devoted to the black boxer Jack Johnson by creating the effect of a train going at full speed (which he compared to the force of a boxer). That's how side A of the 1971 LP A Tribute To Jack Johnson begins. By chance, Herbie Hancock had arrived unexpectedly and started playing on a cheap keyboard that a sound engineer quickly connected. Later, Teo Macero taped McLaughlin's riff on "Sing A Simple Song" by Sly Stone. Side B begins with a bass riff inspired by James Brown's "Say It Loud" and ends with "Willie Nelson," a piece recorded in a previous session. An a cappella improvisation by Miles, arranged in a variety of ways by Macero, was featured as a leitmotif throughout; a phrase spoken by Brock Peters was superimposed as a coda. Columbia didn't believe in this album and hastily released it. Today it is a cult record and strong seller.
Musicians:
Miles Davis (trumpet)
John McLaughlin (guitar)
Herbie Hancock (keyboards)
Michael Henderson (bass)
Billy Cobham (drums)
Steve Grossman (saxophone)
