Born to Quit (PINK & WHITE "SUNBURN" VINYL)
Regular price $34.00 Save $-34.00You remember this 1994 album…it’s the one with the hit song “Need You Around,” which was “around” pretty much everywhere back then, including in the movie Clueless (for that matter, “Lucky Day” from this album was in Tommy Boy, “Mrs. You & Me” was in Angus, and “Gotta Know Right Now” in Boys). That led to the Popes opening for acts like Morrissey, whose voice lead singer and songwriter Josh Caterer—one of three Caterer brothers in the band—rather echoes (Moz himself proclaimed this album “extraordinary, the most lovable thing I’d heard in years”). If you like power pop hooks with heart, look no further…our release comes in pink & white “sunburn” vinyl to honor the front cover photo (put a shirt on, man!) inside a gatefold jacket.

No Doubt
Regular price $26.00 Save $-26.00No Doubt built their reputation the old-fashioned way: gigging relentlessly in and around LA where they frequently turned in high-octane sets at venues such as The Whisky A-Go-Go, Fender's Grand Ballroom and The Roxy, where they could often be found propping up bills for luminaries such as Fishbone and fellow SoCal ska-popsters The Untouchables. Thanks to Gwen Stefani's increasingly alluring stage presence and the band's energetic set of hooky, ska-flavored punk-pop songs, record companies began to take note and, in 1990, No Doubt landed a multi-album deal with the newly created Interscope imprint.
Though they'd pulled off a coup signing with the upwardly mobile and highly respected label, mainstream success initially eluded No Doubt. Their self-titled debut LP was released in 1992, but while it sold a decent number of copies, it appeared at a time when grunge was still in vogue and the industry was reeling from the shockwaves emanating from Seattle. No Doubt's bright, horn-laden ska-pop was anathema at a time when bands such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam were shifting serious units; they doggedly toured the US in support of their self-titled debut, No Doubt struggled to attract a sizeable audience outside of their Southern Californian stomping ground.
Ostensibly their first official single, "Trapped In A Box" was admittedly too out there for the radio of the time. It wasn't aggressively promoted and largely fell upon deaf ears in a world enthralled with an "alternative revolution" mainly centered on male aggression. That changed soon enough though. The horn section and quasi-ska rhythms remain inspired by early Madness/Fishbone influences, while the emerging sense of flow and pop bounce makes the track a benchmark for the time and a notable milestone today.

Blood Bitch
Regular price $18.00 Save $-18.00Norwegian artist and writer Jenny Hval has developed her distinct take on intimate sound since the release of her debut album in 2006. For her last two solo albums, 2013's Innocence Is Kinky and 2015's Apocalypse, Girl, Hval's debut for Sacred Bones, she has received thoughtful and widespread international acclaim for her fascinating voice, singular delivery and markedly non-traditional arrangements which incorporate elements of poetry, prose writing, performance art, and film.
The New York Times defines her writing as "taking a scalpel to the subjects of gender politics and sexuality." Hval has eloquently brought to light issues of both male and female gaze, which for years had been swept under the rug and/or denied all together. Apocalypse, Girl landed on numerous year-end lists with leading compelling writers everywhere to grapple with the age-old, yet previously unspoken, question: What is Soft Dick Rock?
After touring for a year and earning her second Nordic Prize nomination, as any perfectionist would, Hval immediately went back into the studio to continue her work with acumen noise producer Lasse Marhaug, with whom she co-produces here on Blood Bitch. Her new effort is in many respects a complete 180° from her last in subject matter, execution and production. It is her most focused, but the lens is filtered through a gaze which the viewer least expects.

Complete B Sides: 1988-97 - INDIE EXCLUSIVE, CLEAR VINYL
Regular price $47.99 Save $-47.99Coming 25 years after it's initial release and coinciding with the band's 40th anniversary, Complete B Sides by Pixies has been remastered and is being reissued this June.
Collecting all the b-sides from the band's classic 4AD-era, Complete B Sides contains some of the Pixies best 'other' tracks including 'Wave of Mutilation (UK Surf)', 'Into The White' and 'The Thing' and until now, hasn't been available on vinyl. Originally released on CD in 2001, when the band were nearly a decade into a hiatus, Complete B Sides featured all 19 non-single tracks from the band's unbelievable run of 1988-1991 singles - 'Gigantic', 'Monkey Gone to Heaven', 'Here Comes Your Man', 'Velouria', 'Dig for Fire' and 'Planet of Sound'. To complete it, it concluded with the instrumental version of 'Letter to Memphis', the Trompe le Monde album track that appeared on the American release of 'Alec Eiffel'. For this updated edition, all the tracks have been remastered from their original analogue tapes by Kevin Vanbergen, sounding amazingly fresh, it also completes his extensive work across the band's catalogue. This new vinyl edition works as a companion piece to the band's recent Live at the BBC compilation where designer Chris Bigg (v23) has created striking new art, taking photos from Simon Larbalestier's archive that were originally slated for use by the Pixies but later shelved. Both long-term collaborators with the band, they worked on both releases in tandem to remember and honour the band's late-visual director, Vaughan Oliver. And as there is space for more music across four sides of vinyl, this updated version sees six live tracks added, culled from latter Pixies releases including 1997's 'Debaser' re-release.

After The Astronaut (IEX)(OPAQUE WHITE VINYL)
Regular price $31.99 Save $-31.99Riding the least likely commercial success of the 90s with Modern Rock chart topper "Pepper," Austin odd rockers Butthole Surfers returned to the studio in 1998 for the followup, After The Astronaut. Leaning further into experiments with electronics, hip-hop, acid grooves, and the otherwise unusual, the result is a dizzying orbital trip expanding the idea of what's possible in rock music.
Disputes between The Butthole Surfers and Capitol Records left the album unreleased, while the band regrouped and re-recorded some of the material for 2001's Weird Revolution, released through Hollywood Records. After The Astronaut collected dust, eventually developing a mythic status. A quarter century later, Butthole Surfers are realizing their vision for After The Astronaut. Newly mixed by guitarist/producer Paul Leary, After The Astronaut corrects the record on the band's activity in the late 90s with a bold, idiosyncratic evolution of their sun-fried psychedelia.

bitknot - CD

Feeble Little Horse is naturally delighted to present their third full-length LP, bitknot. The album was written, arranged, produced, and recorded by Sebastian Kinsler, Lydia Slocum, and Jake Kelley across their respective homes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A spirited investigation into the unnatural space created between human nature and a culture of convenience, a synthesis of dirt and digital, bitknot by Feeble Little Horse creates a language wherein one can re-imbue a sanctity of interdependence away from consumptive "self-sufficiency" and materialism. Slocum's meandering introspection playfully harmonizes against Kinsler's hooks, walls of noise, a supercharged car battery's worth of synths and samples dropped in the ocean of their guitar-driven songwriting framework. Meanwhile, some of Kelley's most laser-focused drums to date create a sonic chimera that is as likely to be found nascently developing in the early aughts as some unknown, chromatic future.

Lord Huron - the project of Los Angeles-based songwriter, musician and visual artist Ben Schneider - releases their new album, The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1, via Mercury Records, along with the new single, "Looking Back." Known for creating "atmospheric music of exquisite craft" (Wall Street Journal), the band began teasing the album in early 2025 with the singles, "Who Laughs Last" and "Nothing I Need." Lord Huron's fifth album was written and co- produced by Schneider. Alongside Schneider are band members Tom Renaud, Mark Barry and Miguel Briseño, and a host of collaborators, including actress Kristen Stewart and Blonde Redhead's Kazu Makino. The album title references the mysterious machine featured on the cover art. Schneider asks: "What if you could choose your fate like choosing a song on a jukebox?
