First-Time Ever Vinyl Release of Multi-Platinum Collection: Guns N' Roses Greatest Hits 180g 2LP Spans 1986-1993, Includes "Sweet Child O' Mine," "Civil War," and 14 More Classics

Guns N' Roses' 2004, multi-platinum best of compilation hits vinyl for the first time! Previously only available digitally and on CD, Greatest Hits is available here on audiophile 180g 2LP. The vinyl edition also features the band's single "Shadow of Your Love," which hit No. 5 on the Mainstream Rock chart. Originally recorded in December 1986, the song made its debut on the 2018 box set Appetite For Destruction. In 2004, Greatest Hits reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and in 2007 hit No. 1 on the Catalog Albums chart. Featuring all eight of the band's Top 40 Billboard Hot 100 tracks (six of them RIAA-certified Gold), Greatest Hits spans the group's five album releases, including their cover of the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy For The Devil" for the 1995 film Interview With The Vampire.

The first full-length album from Guns N' Roses, 1987's Appetite For Destruction, is one of the most popular hard rock albums in history and has been on the Billboard Top 200 albums or Top Pop Catalog chart for a total of 746 weeks. Certified 18 times platinum in the U.S., Appetite For Destruction charted No. 1 for five weeks and includes three Top 10s: the anthem "Welcome To The Jungle" (No. 7), the frenzied rocker "Paradise City" (No. 5) plus their platinum selling No. 1 single "Sweet Child O' Mine."

1988's G N'R Lies, comprised of songs from the group's independently-released 1986 EP Live?!*@Like A Suicide plus new studio recordings, followed Appetite For Destruction up the charts, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The Grammy-nominated album (for Best Hard Rock Performance) was five times platinum (each platinum level connotes sales of more than one million units) and claimed the gold No. 4-charting ballad "Patience."

Then, on September 17, 1991, with one of the most anticipated releases ever in music, both Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II debuted. Use Your Illusion I featured two gold singles with "November Rain" (No. 3) and "Don't Cry" (No. 10) plus another Top 40 with "Live And Let Die" (No. 33). Use Your Illusion II boasted another gold hit with the previously-released single "You Could Be Mine" (No. 29), heard in the film Terminator II: Judgement Day.

Each of the Use Your Illusion albums went seven times platinum with Use Your Illusion I going to No. 2 and Use Your Illusion II hitting No. 1. Use Your Illusion I was Grammy-nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance as was the Wings cover "Live And Let Die." Guns N' Roses Greatest Hits also culls from II "Yesterdays," "Civil War" and GN'R's take on Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heaven's Door." Both Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II have sold over seven million copies to date.

A collection of Guns N' Roses covers of classic, mainly punk, songs that had influenced the band members since their early days, 1993's The Spaghetti Incident? hit No. 4 and is certified platinum. Rattle and Hum was the album that saw U2 build a bridge from the studio to the silver screen, with some superstar collaborations along the way. The incredible global success of The Joshua Tree was an undeniable staging post in a story that was already more than a decade old. But U2 have never been a band simply to press repeat. Now they saw the opportunity to create something different again, a record of what they had just achieved and a signpost to where they were heading next. Hence the typically innovative combination of a full-scale film to commemorate the epic tour for The Joshua Tree, and a companion double album that contained live elements, but also stood tall as their sixth studio release. All of this little more than 18 months after the album that had rewritten industry records and taken the band to the very top of their profession.

The Rattle and Hum movie was filmed in Denver, CO at the McNichols Sports Arena in November 1987. It captured the overwhelming ebullience of a U2 concert, from the opening cover of the Beatles' White Album romp "Helter Skelter" to valedictory closer "Pride (In The Name Of Love)." But, far from taking the easy option of a simultaneous album equivalent to the film, by the spring of 1988 U2 were at work on a very different type of companion release. Even as they oversaw post-production of the Phil Joanou-directed rock documentary, the band started to lay down new material, both in L.A. and Sun Studios in Memphis, for what would become Rattle and Hum, the album. At the end of September, U2 announced their return with one of the most exhilarating singles of their career. "Desire" was a breathless, vein-bursting nod to the punk-before-there-was-punk sound of the Stooges, itself distilled from a nucleus of the Bo Diddley beat. After a UK debut at No. 3, which equalled their best-ever peak with "Pride" four years before, "Desire" climbed to the top to give U2 their first British No. 1 single. It went on to land a Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocal.

Hard on its heels, the album rattled and hummed into view in October. Time magazine called it "the best live rock album ever made," but it was even more than that. Produced by Jimmy Iovine, it incorporated recordings from the Denver shows, others from San Francisco, New York and Tempe, Arizona, as well as new studio material and some truly striking collaborations. Rattle and Hum debuted on the British chart at No. 1 and by November was sitting atop the American charts as well. Its four hit singles - "Desire," "Angel of Harlem," "When Love Comes to Town" and "All I Want Is You" - kept U2 in singles top tens all over the world for months.

As indie music enjoyed its resurgence in the mid 2000s, UK south coast three-piece Keane offered a thoughtful counterpoint to guitar squall. Their runaway 2004 debut, Hopes And Fears, featured well-written songs, anchored by delicate piano-based melodies. Certified Platinum nine times, the album hit the top of the UK album charts beating out Morrissey's You Are the Quarry along the way. The ballad "Somewhere Only We Know" became a hit on both sides of the Atlantic, and Keane received two BRITs (for Best Breakthrough Act and Best Album 2005) while earning a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Hopes And Fears went on to become the second highest-selling record of the year in the UK, barely losing out to the Scissor Sisters' debut.

Damn The Torpedoes, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers' third album (and first on Backstreet/MCA,) proved to be the breakthrough for the singer-songwriter-guitarist and his band (guitarist Mike Campbell, keyboardist Benmont Tench, bassist Ron Blair and drummer Stan Lynch). The album was released in October 1979, after a highly publicized lawsuit in which Petty made a groundbreaking stand for artist rights, refusing to be sold by one record company to another without his consent.

Damn The Torpedoes became the group's first Top 10, remaining at No. 2 for seven weeks (only Pink Floyd's The Wall kept it from the top). It sold over 5-million copies, and had 3 top 40 hits and 4 top 5 rock-radio hits. The album was an immediate critical success, with Rolling Stone declaring Damn The Torpedoes "the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers album we have all been waiting for."

Produced by Petty and Jimmy Iovine, the album reached double platinum quickly and catapulted the band to arena performances where they played such classic cuts as the infectious Top 10 hit "Don't Do Me Like That," blistering rockers "Refugee" and "Here Comes My Girl," and the exhilarating "Even The Losers." Bursting with full speed ahead American rock ‘n' roll, the album brought together rock, folk, country and blues in what has become Petty and the Heartbreakers' signature style.

The release garnered Petty his first Rolling Stone Magazine cover in February 1980. In 2003, nearly 25 years after its release, Rolling Stone honored Damn The Torpedoes on its list of "the greatest albums ever made," and in 2002 Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, during their first year of eligibility. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are one of the very few artists to score a top five record on the Billboard charts in five consecutive decades.

One by One is the fourth studio album by alternative rock band Foo Fighters, released on October 22, 2002 by RCA. The album is the first to feature guitarist Chris Shiflett. Production on the album was troubled, with initial recording sessions considered unsatisfying and raising tensions between the band members. They eventually decided to redo the album from scratch during a two-week period at front man Dave Grohl's home studio in Alexandria, Virginia. The songs on the album, which include the successful singles "All My Life" and "Times Like These", have been noted for their introspective lyrics and a heavier and more aggressive sound compared to the band's earlier work, which Grohl said was intended to translate the energy of the Foo Fighters' live performances into a recording. One by One was positively received by critics, winning a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2004-the second consecutive Grammy Award for Best Rock Album won by the band-and praised for it's sound and production.

There Is Nothing Left to Lose is the third studio album by the Foo Fighters, released November 2, 1999. The album marks the first appearance of drummer Taylor Hawkins, and is often seen as a departure from the band's previous work, showcasing a softer, more experimental sound. In a 2006 interview, Dave Grohl states that the album is "totally based on melody" and that it "might be his favorite album that they've ever done." There Is Nothing Left to Lose won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2001, marking the group's first ever Grammy Award. Foo Fighters is the debut studio album by American alternative rock band Foo Fighters, released on July 4, 1995, by Capitol Records through Dave Grohl's label Roswell.
