Some Devil, Dave Matthews' seminal solo studio album is now on vinyl for the first time. Originally released in 2003, the highly introspective album was heralded as a fresh direction for Matthews and was a commercial success, selling over one million copies. Stereogum said: “Some Devil had some of [Dave’s] weightiest, most mature songwriting.” The album features beloved tracks "Stay Or Leave," "So Damn Lucky," and the Grammy-winning single, "Gravedigger." Some Devil was produced by Steve Harris and features musical contributions from Tim Reynolds, Trey Anastasio, Brady Blade, Tony Hall, and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. 2018 marks the 25th anniversary of Liz Phair's landmark album Exile in Guyville and Matador Records is celebrating the occasion with the release of the extensive 7LP/3CD Girly-Sound To Guyville box sets and this standalone 2LP reissue of the original 1993 album remastered by Emily Lazar at The Lodge.

Ever since her audacious debut, Exile In Guyville, landed in 1993, Liz Phair has been cipher for a certain kind of aesthetic. She's been called "the female face of indie rock," a "slacker poet of the first degree" and a "brainy bad girl," but she forever remains America's sardonic sweetheart. With Exile..., Phair created what's considered a track-by-track response to The Rolling Stones' Exile On Main St by reverse-engineering sexual objectification for the female gaze, all while keeping her tongue firmly in cheek.

Fusing lo-fi production with a singer-songwriter sensibility, Phair helped shape what would become "indie rock" and defied expectations of what a female rock star could be. While her sexually provocative lyrics is what first enthralled the indie press, it was her fearless singing, her effortless hooks and the specificity of her lyrics that connected with fans.

The album won numerous accolades including winning awards for "On & On" and a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album at the 40th Grammy Awards in 1998. Baduizm's success earned Erykah Badu popularity at the time and helped establish her as one of the emerging neo soul genre's leading artists. Recording sessions for the album took place from January to October 1996 at Battery Studios in New York City, Sigma Sounds and Ivory Studios in Philadelphia, and Dallas Sound Lab in Dallas. Continuing with its Respect The Classics initiative, UMe reissued this album in its entirety, on double vinyl LP for the first time.

The album also became a major commercial success, receiving the Grammy Hall of Fame award in 1998 and attaining gold record status in 2018. The recently uncovered mono version of this album – once believed to be lost forever – is included in this deluxe package along with the stereo version, both having been mastered from the original tapes. Limited 180gm audiophile vinyl LP pressing including insert. Shangri-La Dee Da was the fifth studio album by American Hard Rock band Stone Temple Pilots. It was produced by Brendan O'Brien and released in 2001. The album was certified Gold. While recording the album, the band also worked on a documentary and coffee table book. Neither was released, however, and limited footage was made available through the band's official website in the form of live performance-based music videos. The album's most successful song 'Days of the Week' was only being performed at a handful of dates on the supporting tour for the album. However, the album's second single 'Hollywood Bitch' has become a staple of the band's live set ever since their 2008 reunion.

Definition of spin doctor: a spokesperson employed to give a favorable interpretation of events to the media, especially on behalf of a political party. Spin Doctors weren't part of a political party but spread the word about romance. The band was formed in New York City, best known for their early 1990s hits 'Two Princes' and 'Little Miss Can't Be Wrong'. The singles peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at #7 and #17 respectively. Pocket Full of Kryptonite is the first studio album (and second release) by the Spin Doctors which was originally released in August 1991. It peaked at #1 and #3 on Billboard's Heatseekers and Billboard 200 albums charts. It was the band's bestselling album and was certified 5x Platinum by the RIAA. The album's title is a reference to Kryptonite, a fictional substance from the Superman comic book series. The title is taken from the album's opening track, 'Jimmy Olsen's Blues', a reference to Superman supporting character Jimmy Olsen, who is attracted to Lois Lane and jealous of her romantic feelings for Superman. The cover is showing a phone booth and refers to Clark Kent frequently ducking into a nearby phone booth to change into his Superman attire.

Charles Bradley No Time For Dreaming on LP

Charles Bradley's voice has evolved from a lifetime of paying dues, having nomadically labored for decades at various day jobs from Maine to Alaska, singing and performing in his spare time, before re-settling in his hometown of Brooklyn and eventually finding a musical home at Dunham/Daptone.

In his distinctively rough-hewn timbre one hears the unmistakable voice of experience, each note and gruff infection a reflection of his extended, sometimes rocky, personal path. It's only fitting that No Time For Dreaming's producer Thomas "Tommy TNT" Brenneck (also a member of The Dap-Kings and The Budos Band) would recognize in Bradley a kindred musical spirit, a singer whose performances exude both raw power and poignant beauty.

Recorded at Dunham Studios, and mixed at Daptone Records' internationally revered "House of Soul" Studios, No Time For Dreaming is the inspired sound of an awakening.

Piece Of Cake is the third studio album by grunge rockers Mudhoney. It was their major label debut, being the first album to be released on Reprise Records. Songs like "No End In Sight" and "Suck You Dry" made it clear these guys were a punk band at heart. Several songs from the album, including "Suck You Dry", "Blinding Sun" and "Acetone" are still consistently featured in Mudhoney's live setlist. Colored 180g vinyl LP.
