Good Thing is the highly anticipated follow-up to Grammy nominated R&B singer/composer Leon Bridges' breakout 2015 debut Coming Home. Produced by Ricky Reed and Niles City Sound (Josh Block, Austin Jenkins and Chris Vivion), the goal here was to take Leon's music in a more modern R&B direction while retaining his renowned style. In theory, epic gothic rockers Evanescence have done everything but live up to their name, which is defined as a "disappearance" or something that merely "dissipates like vapor." Live After Death is a live album by the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, originally released in October 1985 on EMI in Europe and it's sister label Capitol Records in the US (it was re-released by Sanctuary/Columbia Records in the US in 2002 on CD and by Universal Music Group/Sony BMG Music Entertainment on DVD). It was recorded at Long Beach Arena, California and Hammersmith Odeon, London during the band's World Slavery Tour. The cover art was done by Derek Riggs, and pictures the band's mascot, Eddie, rising from a grave. Engraved on his tombstone is a quote from fantasy and horror fiction author H. P. Lovecraft's The Nameless City.

"Sigma Oasis came to be during the first week of November 2019, but it wasn't planned that way at all. We were headed up to The Barn to rehearse for our fall tour and ended up discussing this batch of relatively recent songs that we were particularly proud of and always wished we had recorded, but hadn't had a chance to yet. Trey suggested calling up Vance Powell as he mixed and engineered Ghosts Of The Forest. Vance was very familiar with the space and the console so we set up the gear with no room dividers, no click tracks. Nothing. Just like a Phish show. Open space. We played for a couple days. We just played a bunch of songs - very quickly, a few takes, very organic, natural, live, honest. We had the best time. When we were done, our photographer Rene came up and asked us to come out on the porch and snap a photo. It took about two minutes. And that's the album cover - a snapshot of our band at that point in time.

"Vance had some stuff on his schedule so he asked as a favor if we would mind if he didn't mix until early March. Now four months might sound like a long time, but it gave all of us time to work on the tracks - Page overdubbed a lot of keyboards at home. Trey went to a studio in New York and did vocals and percussion. We had time to pick which songs we wanted to work on. We let a few of them go, which was difficult, but that's ok. When we recorded the album, we didn't plan to release it this way. But today, because of the environment we're all in, it just feels right. We don't know the next time that we're all going to be able to be together. This is an opportunity to have a moment where the Phish community can share something despite being physically separated.

When Temple Of The Dog released their sole album in 1991, nobody expected it to be one of the most iconic albums of the 90s. The project came together from the ashes of Mother Love Bone following the drug overdose of its frontman Andrew Wood, Chris Cornell's close friend and roommate. Devastated, Cornell wrote two songs ("Say Hello 2 Heaven" and "Reach Down") in tribute and he was keen to record them as soon as Soundgarden returned from tour. Instead of his regular band, however, Cornell approached Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament, who were still grieving and trying to piece their lives back together after the demise of Mother Love Bone.

Adopting the name Temple Of The Dog (the name deriving from a lyric in Mother Love Bone's "Man Of Golden Words"), the impromptu grunge supergroup was completed by the addition of future Pearl Jam lead guitarist Mike McCready and Soundgarden (and later Pearl Jam) drummer Matt Cameron. Initially, the plan was to rehearse and record Cornell's new songs simply for a one-off single release, but after TOTD started jamming on additional new material and working up some demos written by Gossard, Ament and Cameron, the focus changed to recording a full-length album. Gossard, Ament, and McCready were also simultaneously forming a new band, which more than six months later would be known as Pearl Jam with vocalist Eddie Vedder as its frontman. Vedder would also sing backup vocals on three of the Temple of the Dog album's songs.

The record's go-to tracks are surely "Say Hello 2 Heaven" and "Hunger Strike." Cornell laid his soul bare on the former, delivering an intimate tribute to his fallen friend. The album's dark horse, the scarred and emotional "Hunger Strike," meanwhile, featured a compelling duet between Cornell and the still unknown Vedder. With grunge in vogue by the summer of '92, Pearl Jam's Ten and Soundgarden's Badmotorfinger were both selling in droves. Accordingly, Temple of the Dog rapidly climbed into the higher echelons of the US Billboard 200, where it eventually peaked at No. 5, selling well over a million copies and yielding a platinum disc for the band.

Black& Blue Vinyl Vinyl. The first album recorded by someone other than the band themselves, Modern Baseball enlisted Joe Reinhart (Hop Along, Joyce Manor) at Headroom Studios in Philadelphia to help refine their sound on Holy Ghost. In a tight 28 minutes, Holy Ghost covers an impressive emotional range, with co-songwriters Jacob Ewald and Brendan Lukens literally splitting the record in half. The record kicks off with six songs from Ewald and ends with five from Lukens. What they ended up with was a complete record of the past two years- the highs alongside the lows, tales from the road and glorious days at home alongside songs of heartbreak and personal struggle.

Roughly 28 years ago, Depeche Mode performed the 101st date of their tour behind Music for the Masses at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on June 18, 1988, a concert which was filmed and recorded for release as the film and album entitled – appropriately enough – 101.

Originally conceived by members of Depeche Mode as a method of clarifying how the group fit into the ‘80s, things changed for 101 when famed documentarian D.B. Pennebaker stepped into the role of director and felt that it was going to be too difficult to cover the topic at hand in a manner which would prove cinematically entertaining. Instead, he switched things up to follow a collective of Depeche Mode fans who'd won a "Be in a Depeche Mode Movie" contest. In turn, 101 was able to spotlight both the devotion of the band's fans and the live Depeche Mode experience.

Unfortunately, those who came into the proceedings looking for a full-fledged concert film may have walked away disappointed by the end result, which in no way showed the band's performance in its entirety, but those folks still ended up with a double-disc live album, one which did an excellent job of sampling the DM discography up to that point. Plus, whether you want to attribute it to the film, the album, or a combination of both, the end result was that Depeche Mode's profile grew so substantial as a result of 101 that their next studio album, 1990's Violator, gave them the first US top-10 album of their career.

Some albums define an era, a place, a certain time in one's life. The Beastie Boys Check Your Head practically defined the summer of 1992 for those who were wary of the mainstreaming of rap and the insurgency of grunge. It was here that MCA, Adrock and Mike D. created a musical montage that defied genre, one with the swagger of punk and the rootsy earthiness of early-'70s soul-jazz, all layered with a hip-hop consciousness. Lo-fi, garagy, guitar-riff-loaded tracks like "Pass Da Mic" and "Gratitude" made it clear that the Beasties could be taken as serious musical forces, even innovators. Yet they still brilliantly tempered the proceedings with romps like "Professor Booty" and "Funky Boss." One of the best albums of the '90's, Check Your Head was a turning point for the band and the genesis of a new musical hybrid.

Limited 150gm vinyl LP pressing including digital download. Rock 'n Soul Part 1 (also titled Greatest Hits - Rock 'n Soul Part 1) was released on RCA in October 1983. The album featured mostly hit singles recorded by the duo and released by RCA, along with one single from the duo's period with Atlantic Records and two previously unreleased songs recorded earlier in the year: "Say It Isn't So" and "Adult Education". The album was originally released on LP and cassette, with sides labeled "Side One" and "Side A", and was the duo's first album to be released on the then-new compact disc format. Collector's note: this compilation mostly features single versions of the songs.

Outkast ATLiens On 2 x Vinyl LP

OutKast has almost singlehandedly defined the sound of Atlanta rap. Tongue-flippin', rhyme-spittin' and Cadillac-ridin', all with a Southern accent, Big Boi and Dre have proved to be the South's ideal MCs. ATLIENS continues in the same vein as Outkast's 1994 debut, SOUTHERNPLAYALISTICADILLACMUZIK, with producers Organized Noize back to accompany the duo's laid-back flow. Big Boi and Dre proclaim to prove a point with every rhyme, never wasting a line. They like to think of themselves as outcasts from the hip-hop community--aliens,so to speak. The skilled and compassionate storyteller enjoyed widespread critical acclaim in the wake of his groundbreaking eponymous debut and continued to write and perform songs that became central to our American musical heritage for nearly five decades. Dedicated to his mother Verna Prine, the intimate and playful John Prine Live was largely recorded during a three-day stint at The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, California and released in 1988 on the singer/songwriter's own label Oh Boy Records. As he explained to David Fricke in 1993: "We didn't have another artist to put out. The idea was to have me and my guitar, telling stories and doing songs - and buying me some time until I could get into the studio again."
