A Tribe Called Quest The Anthology on 2LP

Over the course of five classic albums and numerous hit singles, A Tribe Called Quest became a cornerstone artist in hip-hop and across contemporary music in general. The gold-certified People's Instinctive Travels And The Paths Of Rhythm and The Love Movement as well as the platinum-certified and groundbreaking albums The Low End Theory, Midnight Marauders and Beats, Rhymes & Life, created a unique and long-standing legacy.

The Anthology, ATCQ's sixth full-length release on Jive Records, features the best material from the group's five iconic albums. Imagine Dragons Night Visions on LP

Following the release of their fourth EP Continued Silence in early-2012, the Las Vegas-based quartet Imagine Dragons (Dan Reynold/vocals, Wayne Sermon/guitar, Ben McKee/bass, Daniel Platzman/drums) unveils their debut album, Night Vision, on KIDinaKORNER/Interscope Records. The athemic 12-song set features the well received lead single "It's Time" and was produced by the Grammy-winning U.K. hip-hop/R&B guru Alex Da Kid (Nicki Minaj, Rihanna).

“This is our first full length album, and we wanted to do it right,” says lead singer Dan Reynolds. “For the first time, we can say we know what our identity is, and we know this is our jumping off point for future albums. Known for their explorative and restless sound, taking influence from old style rock like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Neil Young and Pink Floyd as well as from electronica and hip hop, each of Radiohead's albums marks a cornerstone in their musical evolution. Debut Pablo Honey (1993) was their answer to grunge while follow-up albums The Bends (1995) and OK Computer (1997) offered atmospheric, almost avant-garde tones.

Over nearly two decades, Queens of the Stone Age have built a powerful and distinctive body of work that marks QOTSA as one of rock's most consistently audacious outfits. The band's reputation was built on its early hot streak of four smash releases: Rated R, Songs For The Deaf, Lullabies to Paralyze and Era Vulgaris. Interscope Records/UMe adds an exciting new chapter to QOTSA's catalogue with high-quality 180g vinyl editions of Rated R and Songs For The Deaf in November 2019, and Lullabies to Paralyze and Era Vulgaris to follow in December.

2002's Songs For The Deaf became QOTSA's first Gold album in the U.S. and their first platinum seller in Britain and Canada, spawning the hits "No One Knows," "Go with the Flow" and "First It Giveth." Mitski warmly recalls a quote from sculptor El Anatsui, "Art grows out of each particular situation, and I believe that artists are better off working with whatever their environment throws up." With this nerve exposed lyrically, and having dived into her new beginning, Mitski chooses her 2014 breakthrough album Bury Me at Makeout Creek to explore uncharted sonic territory, trading in large string arrangements for guitar and bass. While studying composition at SUNY Purchase's music conservatory, she previously recorded music with a full orchestra. However as college graduation inched closer, Mitski moved away from the concert hall and into the campus' active DIY scene. Upon relocating to New York following graduation, she entered stages at Death By Audio, Silent Barn, and Bed Stuy basements, entrenching her songs of love, fear, lust, and brilliant clarity into entirely sympathetic ears.

Since releasing Bury Me at Makeout Creek, Mitski has received international acclaim for her distinct, arresting sound and profoundly reflective lyrics. Pitchfork applauded the release as "inventive and resourceful," while Rolling Stone celebrated her "deep-cutting lyrics." NME said of Bury Me, "it's a record that doesn't tug at your heart-strings as much as it mercilessly pounds at them, taking to your emotions like a lead pipe to a piñata." She has also received widespread attention for her "cathartic" live shows as dubbed by The New York Times' Jon Caramanica. "I was so young when I behaved 25," Mitski sings on "First Love / Late Spring," "yet now I find I've grown into a tall child." Eminem Curtain Call: The Hits on 2x Vinyl LP! 

Eminem's four studio albums shattered so many sales records that you might think just about every man, woman and gerbil on the planet already owns a bulk of the songs that make up this greatest hits collection. But Curtain Call presents the perfect opportunity to have another look at the life of Marshall Mathers. Starting out in the vein of the Beastie Boys and Slick Rick, he grafted filthy verses over bubbly nursery rhyme melodies and primitive Casio beats to come up with comical singles like 'My Name Is' and 'Real Slim Shady.' Bon Iver is Justin Vernon returning to former haunts with a new spirit. The reprises are there, solitude, quietude, hope and desperation compressed, but always a rhythm arises, a pulse vivified by gratitude and grace notes. The winter, the legend, has faded to just that, and this is the new momentary present.

“Bon Iver is often equated with just me,” says Vernon, “but you are who surrounds you, and for Bon Iver I wanted to invite those voices as musical catalysts.” Thus on the track “Beth/Rest” and throughout the album, we hear the pedal steel of Greg Leisz (Lucinda Williams, Bill Frisell), the uniquely layered low end of Colin Stetson’s (Tom Waits, Arcade Fire) saxophones, the riffing of Mike Lewis’ (Happy Apple, Andrew Bird) altos and tenors, and the lush horns of C.J. Camerieri (Rufus Wainwright, Sufjan Stevens). Bon Iver regulars Sean Carey, Mike Noyce and Matt McCaughan contributed vocals, drums and production, Rob Moose (Antony and the Johnsons, The National) helped with arranging and added strings, and fellow members of Volcano Choir, Jim Schoenecker and Tom Wincek provided processing.

Bon Iver was recorded and mixed over the course of three years at April Base Studios, a remodeled veterinarian’s clinic located in rural Fall Creek, Wisconsin.
