Lust For Life finds neo-crooner Lana Del Rey shedding the ennui-laced themes of her last two releases and facing the future. While not mired in nostalgia, the album continues the balancing act of viewing retro-references through the prism of modern day tribulations. Her signature languid delivery remains the same, but the album also has Del Rey trying out plenty of new ideas, from studio production to lyrical themes and collaborations. Lust for Life is certainly her most sonically diverse collection yet, implementing hip-hop based percussion and tapping into her folk and jazz roots, with tender piano ballads and some acoustic guitar numbers. The retro references and doo-wop melodies are still there, but the whole album is underpinned by a persistent mid-tempo beat and melancholic streak. Created with her long-time producer and collaborator Rick Nowels, Lust For Life also marks the first time she's invited others to be featured prominently on her own tracks and includes collaborations with A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, Sean Ono Lennon, The Weeknd and Stevie Nicks.

Gracie Abrams - "This Is What It Feels Like" - Acclaimed singer/songwriter Gracie Abrams releases her new project, This Is What It Feels Like, bringing raw introspection to the most intimate of emotional experiences (self-betrayal, insecurity, failed attempts at connection). The Beatles' chart-topping 1970 album Let It Be receives a range of beautifully presented Special Edition packages in October 2021! The new Special Edition follows the universally acclaimed remixed and expanded anniversary editions of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (2017), The Beatles (aka The White Album) (2018), and Abbey Road (2019). All of the new Let It Be releases feature a new stereo mix of the album, as guided by the original "reproduced for disc" version by Phil Spector, sourced directly from the original session and rooftop performance eight-track tapes. The new stereo mix is presented here on 180g vinyl LP.

While recorded in 1969, Let It Be remains the Beatles' final salvo due to its release in 1970 and the internal tensions that mark the album. Filled with a litany of underrated gems, it also hosts the universally recognized gospel-laden title track, on a par with the best material the Beatles ever recorded. Controversial due to its involvement of Spector, Let It Be marks a return to a drier, back-to-basics live-in-the-studio sound. Seldom, if ever, were the Beatles so raw and direct, as the folksy harmonies on "Two of Us" and straight-ahead charge of "I've Got a Feeling" demonstrate. And the orchestral and choir arrangements on the Spector-treated "The Long and Winding Road" simply soar.

Bon Jovi Slippery When Wet on LP

Bon Jovi's eponymous debut album was released in 1984, and "Runaway" became a Top 40 hit. Following its success, Tony Bongiovi sued the band, claiming he developed their successful sound; the group settled out of court. The following year, 7800° Fahrenheit was released and went gold. Despite the band's respectable success, Bon Jovi wasn't becoming the superstars they had hoped, and they changed their approach for their next album, Slippery When Wet.

Hiring professional songwriter Desmond Child as a collaborator, the group wrote 30 songs and auditioned them for local New Jersey and New York teenagers, basing the album's running order on their opinions. After ditching the original cover of a busty woman in a wet T-shirt for the title traced in water on a garbage bag, Slippery When Wet was released in 1986.

Supported by several videos that showcased their photogenic namesake and frontman, the album eventually sold nine million copies in the U.S. alone, helping usher in the era of pop-metal. Two songs, "You Give Love a Bad Name" and "Livin' on a Prayer," reached No. 1, while "Wanted Dead or Alive" reached the Top Ten, and Bon Jovi was established as worldwide superstars once and for all.

The recorded legacy of musical icon and singer/songwriter Chris Cornell is celebrated with the new 17-track self-titled collection, Chris Cornell, the first release since his passing in 2017. Chris Cornell commemorates his life and legacy not only as a singer, but as a poet and one of the most prolific writers and greatest voices of the modern rock era. His wife Vicky Cornell worked extensively with Chris' bandmates and friends to compile a collection of material from the late artist's expansive career, showcasing his contribution to music history with selections culled from the deep catalogs of his three influential bands – Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave – as well as songs from his solo career. She turned to producer Brendan O'Brien, who was a trusted partner to Cornell over the years and Jeff Ament who created the packaging for Chris Cornell.

The breadth of all 17 selections on Chris Cornell display the full span of his artistic achievements, from the full-on kick of Soundgarden's seminal "Black Hole Sun" to the mournful yearning of Temple of the Dog's "Hunger Strike" to the sensitive depth of Audioslave's "Like A Stone" to his solo theme to the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale, "You Know My Name." This collection also contains a pair of unreleased recordings: a touching cover of Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U" that was cut live at Sirius XM, and "When Bad Does Good," a favorite of Cornell's found in his personal archives.

1993's Debut marks Björk's first solo endeavor following the break-up of the Sugarcubes. Eclectic Multi-Grammy-Winning Effort Remastered on 180g Vinyl and Pressed at RTI for Audiophile Sound: Graceland Forever Changed the Relationship Between Pop and World Music

With Graceland, Paul Simon hit on the idea of combining his always perceptive songwriting with the little-heard mbaqanga music of South Africa, creating a fascinating hybrid that re-enchanted his old audience and earned him a new one. It is true that the South African angle (including its controversial aspect during the apartheid days) was a powerful marketing tool and that the catchy music succeeded in presenting listeners with that magical combination: something they'd never heard before that nevertheless sounded familiar.

As eclectic as any record Simon had made, it also delved into zydeco and conjunto-flavored rock & roll while marking a surprising new lyrical approach (presaged on some songs on Hearts and Bones); for the most part, Simon abandoned a linear, narrative approach to his words, instead drawing highly poetic ("Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes"), abstract ("The Boy in the Bubble"), and satiric ("I Know What I Know") portraits of modern life, often charged by striking images and turns of phrase torn from the headlines or overheard in contemporary speech.

An enormously successful record, Graceland became the standard against which subsequent musical experiments by major artists were measured and continues to provide rewards to its listeners and remains a pivotal listening experience for writers, artists and fans.

The universal appeal of the music of Graceland proved more powerful and enduring than the political hotbed attending its creation. In 1986, the album sold 14 million copies worldwide, and received universal praise from critics around the globe. Paul Simon and the members of Ladysmith Black Mambazo performed on Saturday Night Live and appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone.

By January of 1987, "You Can Call Me Al" was everywhere and Graceland won 'Album of the Year' at the Grammy Awards in 1987. Then, in an unprecedented carryover, the album garnered the Grammy for 'Song of the Year' with its title track in 1988. The album generated three hit singles and kept Simon and the Graceland tour on the road for five years.

This audiophile edition of Graceland has been remastered on 180g 12" vinyl and includes an art-quality collectible poster and a download card with the full album plus three bonus tracks.
