The stellar 8-track collection was produced by the 15-year-old's 19-year-old brother Finneas O'Connell. Opening track, "Copycat" is a wonderfully moody pop gem and fan favorite that has been described as "smoldering" and "hip-hop influenced" by Billboard Magazine. Additional songs include "Party Favor," a delightful ditty which Billie explains is, "about breaking up with someone in a voicemail...on their birthday," and "Hostage," a song that explores the unhealthy side of love.

Songs From the Big Chair
Regular price $32.99 Save $-32.99Accessible and ambitious, Tears for Fears' phenomenal 10-million-selling second album, Songs From The Big Chair, marked a transition in the band's sound and catapulted them into international prominence. As a group, Tears for Fears led the "Second British Invasion" of pop music in the mid-'80s in both the U.S. and Europe with songs from the album dominating the radio airwaves. In the U.S., "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" led the Songs from the Big Chair single releases, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1985. "Shout" was the band's second single and stayed at No. 1 for three weeks. The album inevitably went straight to No. 1, selling 5-million copies in the U.S. alone. Songs from the Big Chair peaked at No. 2 on the U.K. album charts and remained in the Top 10 for over six months. The album went on to yield the hit singles "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" (which spent 14 weeks in the U.K. Top 5 and peaked at No. 2) and "Shout," which reached No. 4 and remained on the chart for 16 weeks. Both became global smash hits.

So Tonight That I Might See
Regular price $30.98 Save $-30.98In keeping with the quality of their magical, laconic music, the success of Mazzy Star's second album, So Tonight That I Might See seemingly came out of nowhere. Eventually going platinum, the record's unexpected climb to commercial prominence began on the back of the surprise success of its second single, the dreamily atmospheric "Fade Into You," which rose into the Billboard Top 50 seven months after its parent album first hit the racks in October 1993. Gloriously out of step with the zeitgeist, the introspective So Tonight That I Might See bore scant relation to the grungy guitar records dominating the alt-rock scene. Indeed, "Fade Into You" ironically began its steady ascent up the Billboard chart while the world mourned the death of Kurt Cobain.
The product of ad hoc studio sessions, So Tonight That I Might See made no attempt to hide its rough 'n' ready nature, with "She's My Baby" and the grinding, "Venus In Furs"-esque titular song sounding almost willfully loose. More often than not, however, the album nonchalantly sauntered towards genius, not least on the droning, acid-tinged "Mary Of Silence," the duo's skeletal, cello-enhanced cover of Arthur Lee's "Five String Serenade" and the strung-out blues-rock of the aptly-titled "Wasted."
The record initially sold modestly, despite attracting tuned-in critics such as Los Angeles Times' Steve Hochman, who enthusiastically proclaimed that it "may well be the best psychedelic blues album since Cream." However, just when observers were preparing to file it away as a slow-burning niche record, So Tonight That I Might See started its stealthy ascent up the Billboard chart, peaking at No. 36 and moving a million copies. Now available as a single LP on standard weight vinyl in celebration of Capitol Records' 75th anniversary.

Jolene
Regular price $26.98 Save $-26.98Vinyl LP Reissue of Long Out of Print 1974 Dolly Parton Masterwork Jolene!
The Bob Ferguson-produced Jolene, recorded in 1972 and '73 in Nashville with the musical mecca's finest sessions musicians, is filled not only with richly tuneful songs, but a pair of numbers - "Jolene" and "I Will Always Love You" - that topped the Country charts and remain Dolly Parton signatures to this very day. The oft covered title track tells the tale of a housewife confronting her husband's seductress while "I Will Always Love You" covers the professional breakup of Parton and her longtime duet partner Potter Wagoner (who contributed the aching "Lonely Comin' Down" here). In 1992 Whitney Houston made the latter an international pop smash. Jolene had more than a little to do with elevating Dolly Parton to the next level of solo stardom, now the most-decorated female country music performer of all time.

August and Everything After
Regular price $41.99 Save $-41.99Limit one per customer. Double vinyl LP pressing. When the prevailing guitar jingle of 'Mr. Jones' cascaded over radio in the early 90s, it was a sure sign that the Counting Crows were a musical force to be reckoned with. Their 1993 debut album, August and Everything After, burst at the seams with both dominant pop harmonies and rich, hearty ballads, all thanks to lead singer Adam Duritz. The lone guitar work of 'Mr. Jones' coupled with the sweet, in-front pull of Duritz's voice kicked off the album in full force. The album cover depicts handwritten lyrics to a song called "August and Everything After", but the band decided against featuring the song on the album of the same name; it was not until over a decade later that it was played as part of one of their live concerts.

Billie Eilish's meteoric rise to global stardom has been nothing short of phenomenal and arguably unparalleled to date. Since her "Ocean Eyes" debut, Billie has quietly yet unapologetically infiltrated the forefront of pop. In 2019 the teenage marvel released her highly anticipated debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? The 14-tracl collection was written, produced and recorded entirely by the then 17-year-old pop prodigy and chief collaborator/brother Finneas in their childhood home of Highland Park, LA. Yielding the four hit singles "You Should See Me in a Crown", "When the Party's Over", "Bury a Friend" and "Bad Guy," the critically hailed affair topped the Billboard 200 and has been certified 4x Platinum. "When we made ‘Bury A Friend', the whole album clicked in my head," Billie explained. "I immediately knew what it was going to be about, what the visuals were going to be, and everything in terms of how I wanted it to be perceived. It inspired what the album is about. ‘bury a friend' is literally from the perspective of the monster under my bed. If you put yourself in that mindset, what is this creature doing or feeling? I also confess that I'm this monster, because I'm my own worst enemy. I might be the monster under your bed too."

English singer/songwriter Harry Styles follows-up his platinum-certified, No. 1 charting 2017 solo debut with his highly anticipated second album, Fine Line. The pop star describes the album as being "all about having sex and feeling sad" and that the creative process was inspired by taking mushrooms and listening to Paul McCartney's Ram. The 12-track collection is introduced by the shimmering lead single "Lights Up" which was co-produced by Tyler Johnson and Kid Harpoon (aka Tom Hull).
"'Fine Line' feels like another confident exercise in Harry Styles' ongoing genre cross-over. It's a maturation from his debut that feels free from the weight of expectation. It bruises, broods and unshackles itself in all the right places, successfully taking us to the place most of it came to be: by that kinetic Californian coastline, coloured by the cool psychedelia its creator has fallen hopelessly in love with" (Vice).
The album's artwork features a fisheye photo of Styles taken by English fashion photographer Tim Walker.

Texas Sun Ep
Regular price $20.98 Save $-20.98Driving anywhere in Texas can cost you half a day, easy. For example, it'll take you over four hours just to get from R&B singer Leon Bridges' hometown of Fort Worth down to Houston, where the psychedelic wanderers in Khruangbin hail from. The state is vast, crisscrossed with rugged expanses of road flanked by limestone cliffs and granite mountains, forests of pine and mesquite, miles of desert or acres of sprawling grassland, all depending on what part you're in. And it's all baking under the Texas Sun that lends its name to Bridges and Khruangbin's new collaborative EP. "Big sky country, that's what they call Texas," Khruangbin bassist Laura Lee says. "The horizon line goes all the way from one side to another without interruption. There's something really comforting about that." On Texas Sun, these two members of the state's musical vanguard meet up somewhere in the middle of that scene, in the mythical nexus of Texas' past, present, and future – a dreamy badlands where genres blur as seamlessly as the terrain.
