Iconic Long Beach, CA reggae-punk/alternative-rock band Sublime was founded in 1988 by Bradley Nowell (vocals/guitar), Eric Wilson (bass/vocals) and Bud Gaugh (drums). Their self-produced debut 40 oz. to Freedom was released in 1992 via the band's label Skunk Records and has subsequently been certified double platinum. The classic double album is home to such radio hits as "Date Rape" and "Badfish," plus the band's stylized covers of the Grateful Dead's "Scarlet Begonias," The Toyes' "Smoke Two Joints," Bad Religion's "We're Only Gonna Die for Our Arrogance" and The Descendents "Hope."

In November 1968, millions of double LPs were shipped to record stores worldwide ahead of that tumultuous year's most anticipated music event: the November 22nd release of The Beatles (soon to be better known as The White Album). With their ninth studio effort, The Beatles took the world on a whole new trip, side one blasting off with the exhilarating rush of a screaming jet escorting Paul McCartney's punchy, exuberant vocals on "Back In The U.S.S.R." "Dear Prudence" came next, John Lennon warmly beckoning his friend and all of us to "look around." George Harrison imparted timeless wisdom in "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," singing, "With every mistake we must surely be learning." Ringo Starr's "Don't Pass Me By" marked his first solo songwriting credit on a Beatles album.

For 50 years, The White Album has invited its listeners to venture forth and explore the breadth and ambition of its music, delighting and inspiring each new generation in turn. In November 2018, The Beatles will release a suite of lavishly presented White Album packages. All the new White Album releases include producer Giles Martin and mix engineer Sam Okell's new stereo album mix, sourced directly from the original four-track and eight-track session tapes. Martin's new mix is guided by the album's original stereo mix produced by his father, George Martin. "In remixing ‘The White Album,' we've tried to bring you as close as possible to The Beatles in the studio," explains Giles in his written introduction for the new edition. "We've peeled back the layers of the ‘Glass Onion' with the hope of immersing old and new listeners into one of the most diverse and inspiring albums ever made."

Presented here as a 180g 2LP-set with faithful original packaging (the minimalist artwork was created by artist Richard Hamilton, one of Britain's leading figures in the creation and rise of pop art), the album's sweeping new edition follows 2017's universally acclaimed Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band Anniversary Edition releases. To create the new stereo mix for The White Album, Martin and Okell worked with an expert team of engineers and audio restoration specialists at Abbey Road Studios in London.

Kids See Ghosts is the eponymous debut from the hip hop duo of the same name featuring Kanye West and Kid Cudi and the third of five 7-track 2018 albums produced by West succeeding Pusha T's Daytona and his own ye and preceding Nas' Nasir and Teyana Taylor's K.T.S.E. Fans have been anticipating an album length project from the longtime collaborators for a decade now and the intriguing Kids See Ghosts is a cathartic and confessional affair with both artists documenting bouts of depression and struggles with drug abuse throughout. In November 1986, the Beastie Boys released their debut album Licensed To Ill on Def Jam/Columbia. It stands as one of Columbia's fastest-selling debuts to date and eventually sold over nine million copies in the U.S. alone. Licensed To Ill is still the only album by a white hip-hop act to receive the coveted 5 mics from the Source who has selected the album as one of the best 100 Best Rap Albums of all-time. Playful music videos were made for the classic cuts "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party)," "No Sleep Till Brooklyn," "Girls," "Hold It Now Hit It," "Rhymin' and Stealin'" and "She's Crafty," while further gems like "Brass Monkey," "Paul Revere," and "Time To Get Ill" proved Licensed To Ill to be all killer no filler.

Kerry King of Slayer even made an appearance on the album playing lead guitar on "No Sleep Till Brooklyn," which was named as a spoof on Motorhead's No Sleep 'til Hammersmith album. King's appearance came about because Rick Rubin was producing both bands simultaneously (Slayer's Reign in Blood was also originally released on Dej Jam). The album's iconic cover, front to back, features a Boeing 727 - with Beastie Boys emblazoned on the tail - crashing head-on into the side of a mountain, appearing as an extinguished joint. The tail of the plane has the Def Jam logo and the legend '3MTA3' which spells 'EATME' when viewed in a mirror.
