Happier Than Ever
Regular price $35.99 Save $-35.99Highly Anticipated Follow-Up to 5x Grammy-Winning Debut When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go
Billie Eilish's highly anticipated second full-length album Happier Than Ever, which she called the favorite thing she's ever created, features no outside songwriters or producers, and was written by Billie and her brother Finneas, who produced the album in Los Angeles, CA. In late 2020, the singer released "Therefore I Am," an audacious ode to being entirely unbothered which followed the release of the ethereal single "My Future." Eilish appeared on Sirius XM to discuss the process of creating the follow up to her massive debut When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go, which took home five Grammys and went 3x Platinum saying: "Everything about every song is very different but somehow cohesive, and I think that was the same with the last album. We really wanted a project to be cohesive and make sense, but not just be a repeat and a clone of every other song." The album topped the US Billboard 200 and its title track received a total of seven nominations at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards including Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Song of the Year and Record of the Year.

Modern Baseball released their debut full-length Sports later that year on Lame-O Records, which they self-recorded and produced.

Bitches Brew
Regular price $32.98 Save $-32.98Double vinyl LP pressing. Bitches Brew is a studio album by jazz musician, composer, and bandleader Miles Davis, originally released on March 30, 1970. It marked his continuing experimentation with electric instruments that he had previously featured on the critically acclaimed In a Silent Way (1969). With these instruments, such as the electric piano and guitar, Davis rejected traditional jazz rhythms in favor of loose, rock-influenced arrangements based on improvisation. In subsequent years, Bitches Brew gained recognition as one of jazz's greatest albums and a progenitor of the jazz rock genre, as well as a major influence on rock and funk musicians.

Texas Moon
Regular price $20.98 Save $-20.98Black Vinyl. Two of the acts boldly leading Texas music into the future have now delivered a second chapter of their groundbreaking collaboration, further extending the region's sonic possibilities. Singer/songwriter Leon Bridges, from Ft. Worth, and trailblazing Houston trio Khruangbin have joined forces for the Texas Moon EP, a follow-up to 2020's acclaimed Texas Sun project. While the five new songs are clearly a continuation of the first EP, they also have an identity all their own-Bridges calls it "more introspective," while Khruangbin bassist Laura Lee says it "feels more night time." When Texas Sun was released, AllMusic called the results "intoxicating" and Paste noted that "their talents and character go together so well." Now comes the next stage-a set of songs that touch on themes like love, faith, and death while exploring new dimensions of inventive, hypnotic grooves. Significantly, both parties' musical directions were clearly affected by their time working together. Khruangbin's most recent album, Mordechai, moved their own vocals much further forward, a change they readily admit was a direct result of working with Bridges. Meanwhile, since these recordings began, in addition to his genre-defying album Gold-Digger's Sound, Bridges has put out several other challenging, shared tracks, including work with John Mayer, Lucky Daye, and Jazmine Sullivan. Texas Moon represents a genuine and rare achievement, with two of the most respected and innovative acts of their generation truly collaborating to create something new. "As far as an essentially instrumental band, these guys are kind of the top for me," says Bridges. "I'm honored to have been the first singer that they've incorporated in their music." "It feels really special to me," says Lee. "It's not Khruangbin, it's not Leon, it's this world we created together.

Slipknot
Regular price $21.99 Save $-21.99Over twenty-five years ago, nine guys from Des Moines, Iowa, shattered the scope of what was possible in metal. Slipknot's music put blastbeats, massive breakdowns and brutal riffs alongside breakbeats and turntablism; punctuated hooky melodies with extreme vocals and percussive rap verses. On stage, bodies clad in numbered jumpsuits and horror film masks crashed into each other, eliciting mania from hungry crowds and drawing blood and breaking bones in the process.
Everything Slipknot did was maximalist and monstrous, completely unhinged and meticulously thought out. From the moment Slipknot appeared on an early afternoon stage at Ozzfest ‘99, it was clear they were like nothing people had ever seen and everything they never knew they needed.
It's no surprise that Slipknot's self-titled debut, recorded to tape with Ross Robinson at the infamous Indigo Ranch (Korn, Soulfly, Machine Head) and released on Roadrunner, went platinum within three months of release – despite a lack of press, radio, or MTV support – on the strength of the reputation they built through relentless touring and hits like "Wait and Bleed," "Eyeless," and "Spit it Out." Slipknot's self titled, nearly triple platinum debut release gets the vinyl re-issue treatment here on colored vinyl!

Brushfire Fairytales
Regular price $31.98 Save $-31.98Audiophile Quality 180g Vinyl LP Reissue Remastered by Bernie Grundman from the Original Analog Tapes and Pressed at RTI!
From its humble beginnings, 2001's Brushfire Fairytales launched the meteoric career of the modern master of soft acoustic folk and surf rock, Jack Johnson. Cut to nearly 20 years later and the singer/songwriter's auspicious debut has stood the test of time selling over 2.5 million copies to date and continues to be one of the best sellers in his catalog. An ear for the irresistible – whether in the vocal delivery or the construction of a pop hook – certainly accounts for its success.
It starts with "Inaudible Melodies," a reference to the singer's laid-back, not to say reticent persona in the early days, and includes some lovely gems like "Flake," with Ben Harper on pedal steel. Only a minor hit, as a single, "Flake" still became a signature tune and live staple. The equally impressive "Drink the Water" is a face up to your fears type song. All have the magic of the campfire; honest, inclusive and warm-hearted tracks that bring folks together.
Remastered by Bernie Grundman from the original analog tapes, this is a true AAA edition pressed at RTI on HQ Vinyl 180g for unsurpassed quality and long life. A must for audiophiles and beach bums alike!
