Grammy Award Winning 2017 Collection (Best Rock Album) Available on Vinyl for the First Time!

Retro-rockers Greta Van Fleet issue their 2019 Grammy Award-winning (Best Rock Album) collection, From The Fires for the first time on vinyl! Originally released in November 2017, the eight-track set featured four brand new Greta Van Fleet recordings as well as the four critically-acclaimed tracks from the band's breakout EP Black Smoke Rising, including No. 1 singles "Highway Tune" and follow-up "Safari Song."

The four new tracks were recorded at Rust Belt Studios in Detroit and produced by the same duo that helmed Black Smoke Rising, Al Sutton and Marlon Young. According to the band's vocalist Josh Kiszka, compiling the four Black Smoke Rising tracks with the four new recordings made for an ideal grouping. "All eight of these songs share a theme of basic humanity," said Kiszka. Also included are distinct covers of Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come" and Fairport Convention's "Meet on the Ledge."

The cover art for From The Fires was conceived by Josh who said, "When we were all kids, our extended families and friends spent part of every summer together at a place called Yankee Springs. We were out in the middle of the woods, and every night, we'd sit around a campfire, play music and tell stories. I always loved that as it reminded me of ancient times when people would gather around the fires with the tribes' elders telling fables of wisdom and courage, passing down human history. That concept is where the cover art and title come from."

With the rich, bluesy vocals of Darius Rucker and gleeful harmonies of guitarist Mark Bryan, bassist Dean Felber and drummer Jim "Soni" Sonefeld, Hootie & the Blowfish hit it big with their 1994 debut Cracked Rear View and smash singles "Hold My Hand," "Let Her Cry" and "Only Wanna Be With You."

The album had been out for six months before the band played on the Late Show with David Letterman where the maverick talk show host told his audience "If you don't have this album, there's something wrong with you." The day after the show aired, sales went from four or five thousand a week to 17,000 a week, and eventually No. 1 on the Billboard charts the following spring.

At the end of the year, Cracked Rear View and the band won two Grammy's - Best New Artist and Song of the Year by duo or group for "Let Her Cry." Cracked Rear View went on to earn the band Billboard's Band of the Year Award in 1996 and the RIAA's Diamond Award for sales of 10 million units. The cornerstone release remains the twelfth best selling album in music business history.

The album continues the changes in his musical sound that he began with the mixtape Macadelic. Mac Miller has described the album as very introspective and very personal. The album features guest appearances from Earl Sweatshirt, Ab-Soul, Action Bronson, Schoolboy Q, Jay Electronica and Tyler The Creator among others. Production was handled primarily by Miller himself (under the pseudonym Larry Fisherman) among others such as Diplo, Tyler, The Creator, Flying Lotus, The Alchemist, Clams Casino, Earl Sweatshirt, J. Hill, Chuck Inglish and Pharrell Williams.

The follow-up recording to the group's insanely popular debut recording Is This It, Room On Fire proves to be a worthy addition to the band's catalog. Plastic Beach is the third studio album by British virtual band Gorillaz, released 3 March 2010 on Parlophone and Virgin Records. Conceived from an unfinished Gorillaz project called Carousel, the album was recorded from June 2008 to November 2009 and produced primarily by group co-creator Damon Albarn. It features guest appearances by several artists, including Snoop Dogg, Gruff Rhys, de la Soul, Bobby Womack, Mos Def, Lou Reed, Mick Jones, Mark E. Smith, Paul Simonon, Bashy, Kano, Little Dragon and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble. The album debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart, selling 74,000 copies in it's first week. In the United States, it debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 112,000 copies, and it also charted within the top ten in several other countries. Plastic Beach received generally positive reviews from most music critics.

Within two short years, music quite literally carried 22-year-old singer, songwriter, and artist Noah Kahan around the world-a long way from his native Strafford, VT (pop. 1,045) and the 133-acre tree farm where he resides. For as much as the road twisted and turned, the journey led right to the album. "My life has taken a 180° turn," he admits. "I'm on a very different path than what I thought I would do. I feel nostalgic for a time when I was younger and had less to think about. I had the latitude to be whimsical, free, and young without knowing what's going to happen.
