Twenty Twenty
Regular price $26.98 Save $-26.98Twenty Twenty: Joe Keery, who you may also recognize from the show "Stranger Things," began playing music in his teens after co-opting his sister's guitar, but it was during his college years at DePaul University in Chicago that he formed his first band and began to seriously pursue music. That band was Post Animal, the heavy psych rock outfit that went on to release a self-titled EP and two subsequent albums via Polyvinyl. They also toured with artists like Twin Peaks, Wavves and Cage The Elephant and played a number of US festivals. In 2019, with no announcement or fanfare, Keery's solo-project Djo was unveiled not with a single, but a lush, self-reflective, layered 12 track full-length album titled Twenty Twenty. "Joe Keery built a carnival. The resonance of each riff or beat is not new, but redesigned and reshaped into the beauty it is today. The face of psych or alternative mirrored through his own design, and it reveals a person who shouldn't be underestimated," said Rodeo Mag. Despite the album being released under the radar and without a label, fans found their way to it, and Twenty Twenty has now seen more than 200 million streams to date.

Punisher - CD
Regular price $14.98 Save $-14.982020 release. Phoebe Bridgers doesn't write love songs as much as songs about the impact love can have on our lives, personalities, and priorities. Punisher, her fourth release and second solo album, is concerned with that subject. To say she writes about heartbreak is to undersell her blue wisdom, to say she writes about pain erases all the strange joy her music emanates. Bridgers pulls together a formidable crew of guests, including the Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, Christian Lee Hutson and Conor Oberst as well as Nathaniel Walcott (of Bright Eyes), Nick Zinner (of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Jenny Lee Lindberg (of Warpaint), Blake Mills and Jim Keltner as well as her longtime bandmates Marshall Vore (drums), Harrison Whitford (guitar), Emily Retsas (bass) and Nick White (keys). The album was mixed by Mike Mogis, who also mixed Stranger In The Alps.

The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1 [ Indie Exclusive Glow-In-The-Dark Splatter 2 LP]
Regular price $45.99 Save $-45.99Lord Huron - the project of Los Angeles-based songwriter, musician and visual artist Ben Schneider, releases their
new album, The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1, via Mercury Records, along with the new single, "Looking Back."
Known for creating "atmospheric music of exquisite craft" (Wall Street Journal), the band began teasing the album in early 2025 with the singles, "Who Laughs Last" and "Nothing I Need."
Lord Huron's fifth album was written and co-produced by Schneider. Alongside Schneider are band members Tom Renaud, Mark Barry and Miguel Briseno, and a host of collaborators, including actress Kristen Stewart and Blonde Redhead's Kazu Makino. The album title references the mysterious machine featured on the cover art. Schneider asks: "What if you could choose your fate like choosing a song on a jukebox? What if your finger slipped and you got the B-side instead? What if you misunderstood the meaning of the dang song to begin with?"

This is the new MGMT ORACULAR SPECTACULAR album that is leading to the band being hailed as a hot new group. Songs To Learn & Sing
Regular price $27.98 Save $-27.981985 Compilation Reissued On Vinyl LP!
Includes "The Killing Moon" & "Bring On The Dancing Horses"!
By the release of Songs To Learn & Sing, Echo & The Bunnymen were a force to be reckoned with, pioneering the post-punk, new wave scene having released four highly acclaimed albums: Crocodiles, Heaven Up Here, Porcupine and Ocean Rain.
Originally released in 1985, Songs To Learn & Sing is a comprehensive collection of Echo & The Bunnymen's first four albums, from their second single "Rescue", to "The Cutter" and the anthemic "The Killing Moon". Also included is "Bring On The Dancing Horses", a single launched at the time in conjunction with Songs To Learn & Sing.
One of the most acclaimed British rockers from the 1980s, this legendary band formed in Liverpool in 1978 and were forefathers of the neo-psychedelic movement. Their line up consisted of vocalist Ian McCulloch, guitarist Will Sergeant, bass player Les Pattinson and drummer Pete de Freitas, eventually replacing the original drum machine. The band's cult status eventually waned with mainstream success in 1983 after they scored a UK top 10 hit with "The Cutter" and attendant album Porcupine which hit #2 in the UK. 1984's album Ocean Rain is considered a landmark post-punk release, featuring the lead single "The Killing Moon".
The band split in 1988 but regrouped in 1997, releasing an album in 2014 that was their first UK Top 40 entry since 1999. The band's popularity never quite made the same impact in the US as it did in Europe so they are ripe for rediscovery for anyone interested in bands such as Suede, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Blur, Interpol and Oasis.

In Utero (20th Anniversary Edition) - CD
Regular price $15.95 Save $-15.95Compact Disc
To say that Nirvana's third and ultimately final studio album IN UTERO was 1993's most polarizing record would be the understatement of a decade. The unadorned sonic rawness of Steve Albini's recording laid bare every primal nuance of the most confrontational yet vulnerable material Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl would ever record. And with it's 1991 predecessor NEVERMIND having sold some 30 million copies, singlehandedly returning honest rock n roll to the top of the pop charts, IN UTERO was essentially the first record Nirvana would make with any expectations from the public. So from the opening quasi-shamble melodics of "Serve the Servants" through the bittersweet closing strains of "All Apologies," IN UTERO was the sound of the most incredible yet conflicted rock n roll band of the era at the peak of it's powers coming to terms with a generational spokes-band mantle they'd never seen coming and ultimately surmounting these struggles to make the record they needed to make. This 20th anniversary reissue features the original album re-mastered at Abbey Road studios in 2013.

I Know I'm Funny Haha
Regular price $24.98 Save $-24.98I Know I'm Funny haha is Webster's most realized manifestation yet of this emotional and musical alchemy. Continuing to bloom from her 2019 breakthrough and Secretly Canadian debut Atlanta Millionaires Club, Webster's sound draws as much from the lap-steel singer-songwriter pop of the 1970s and teardrop country tunes as it does from the audacious personalities of her city's rap and R&B community. The album began for Webster with the stirring ballad "In a Good Way," as in "You make me want to cry in a good way"-an instantclassic Faye Webster one-liner. It's beguilingly simple, the kind of melody and arrangement that seem to have existed forever. A sense of relief charges the neo-psychedelic pop of "Cheers," where Webster experiments with an overdriven guitar tone. She also collaborated, on "Overslept," with the Japanese artist Mei Ehara, who she calls the biggest influence on her new music. Webster's music is full of personality. Many of her songs contain bits of girl-group-esque talk-singing, which color her atypical storysongs. Webster says she's in a growth mindset, pushing herself to learn more, to be more vulnerable. "Growth is really important to me," she says. "I hope people will relate to my songs, and not just be like 'this is a good record' but 'this makes me feel something. This is making me think differently, this is making me question things.' I told myself a few years ago that I was going to be more honest in my songwriting, that honesty is the best route to take with music. If I have a voice and people are listening to me, I'm not going to waste it."
