The R.E.M. of 1987's Document was a sinewy, muscular rock beast, primed and ready to dominate the airwaves. Peter Buck's distinctive jangle and chime was still apparent on "Disturbance At The Heron House" and "Welcome To The Occupation," but, for the most part, his guitar playing took on a sharp, steely quality. Accordingly, he turned in some of his most memorable recorded performances: launching "Finest Worksong" with urgent, metallic riffs; embroidering the swampy funk of "Lightnin' Hopkins" with Andy Gill-esque tension and atonality; and punctuating the band's supercharged cover of Wire's "Strange" with a neat, Nuggets-style psych-pop solo. Michael Stipe also summoned up a clutch of startling performances here: bending and twisting his voice like an old time preacher around "Lightnin' Hopkins" and rattling off a rapid-fire alternate history of the 20th Century on the exhilarating "It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)." Document's savage break-out single "The One I Love" provided R.E.M. with their first major US hit single when it peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard singles chart.

Limited clear vinyl LP pressing. In the summer of 2021, Geese emerged from out of nowhere, sparking a hype cycle unlike anything that had been seen for a young American rock band in recent memory. Suddenly a band that had previously planned to release some music, break up, and go away to college was touring the world. And during this entire process, that very same band everyone was getting to know ceased to exist. On a practical level, Geese are still the group we were introduced to in 2021. But spiritually, Geese have returned as an entirely different prospect. Their new album 3D Country is the sound of a restless, adventurous band redefining themselves. Anyone who has seen Geese live recently might've noticed the band adopted a different vibe onstage - more of a volcanic, unpredictable aesthetic. It turns out that wasn't a flipside to the recordings of Projector, but foreshadowing that there was more to the story. Knowing they were now beyond teenage basement experiments and were instead making something for an audience who would hear it, Geese felt emboldened. "When we were writing Projector it was about narrowing the scope, trying to do more with less," Gus Green says. "When we started writing for 3D Country we were trying to do a lot more and seeing what worked and what didn't." At the same time, they're well aware of how significant a departure they've made. "As music listeners, we all appreciate bands who change over time, and are comfortable with risk," Cameron Winter adds. It wasn't necessarily a given that Geese would overhaul their sound, but with age came new adventures and interests. "Maybe the last record was our teenage angst and 3D Country is our newfound twenty-something arrogance," he quips.

 After twenty-odd years in the major label system, the band returned to their indie roots and signed with ANTI- Records and they're back with a brand-new eleventh album titled, I Built You A Tower out June 5th. I Built You A Tower is the sound of loss, compartmentalization, and then grief bursting out from the seams. It's also the sound of the growth that comes after falling apart, of acknowledging pain without letting it destroy you. "I see the tower existing on your emotional horizon," Ben Gibbard states. "You don't always have to look at what's inside it, but it's a reminder that it happened. You know it's there. You have to face it."   The band will tour in support of the new album, including a play at Outside Lands. This comes on the heels of a historic, sold-out global tour marking the 20th anniversary of the album Transatlanticism, and the release of their universally acclaimed, 2022's Asphalt Meadow.

Absolution is the third studio album by the English alternative rock band Muse. It was released on 15 September 2003 in Japan, on 22 September 2003 in the United Kingdom on Mushroom Records and A&E Records and on 23 March 2004 in the United States by East West Records and Taste Media. The album followed up on it's predecessor's diverse musical tendencies and elaborate sound, while also having a more focused and consistent theme and aesthetic throughout. Absolution has a noticeably darker and heavier tone musically, with a lyrical focus on the theological and apocalyptic concepts. The album reached number one in the UK Album Charts. It also yielded the band's first top 10 single hit, with "Time Is Running Out" peaking at number 8 in the UK singles chart. In 2009, it was voted by Kerrang! As the second-best album of the 21st century thus far. (Muse's previous album, Origin of Symmetry, and their subsequent release, Black Holes and Revelations, also appeared in the top fifty).

Vinyl LP pressing. 2024 release. After 16 years, The Cure is back with their 14th studio album, SONGS OF A LOST WORLD. Songs from the record were previewed during their 90-date, 33-country 'Shows Of A Lost World' tour for more than 1.3 million people to overwhelming fan and critical acclaim. Speaking about, "Alone," the opening track on the album, Robert Smith says, "It's the track that unlocked the record; as soon as we had that piece of music recorded, I knew it was the opening song and I felt the whole album come into focus... that was the moment when I knew the song - and the album - were real." Robert Smith created the sleeve concept and Andy Vella, a longtime Cure collaborator, handled the album's art and design. The cover art features 'Bagatelle,' a 1975 sculpture by Janez Pirnat.

Definitive 180g Vinyl 3LP Version Remastered from the Original Sources

Since their inception in the metal heartland and rock stronghold of Cleveland, Ohio, Trent Reznor's Nine Inch Nails have been pioneers in their field. Broadly categorized in the early days as an industrial rock band they've stuck to first principles while shifting their focus with each successive album and achieved a level of success based on a fanatical following that makes a mockery of any idea they were ever cut out to be a cult act. 

After the quadruple platinum success of The Downward Spiral (1994) it would be a further five years before NIN's returned with a studio album. For The Fragile (1999) Reznor worked with Alan Moulder as his production sounding board. Moulder's meticulous approach and his understanding of sonic textures complimented Trent's flights of fantasy which stretched the material way over the 100-minute mark - bliss for Nails fans. Conceptual again and stacked high with surprising melodic excursions, The Fragile attempts to make order from chaos: it begins with "Somewhat Damaged" and closes on "Ripe."

Spread across 3LPs you'll find a wealth of incredible sounds here and if it wasn't fully understood on release it seems to have became many a Nails follower's album of choice. Certainly Reznor has always been adept at using high-class help even when he appears to be hurtling towards destruction. Guitarist Adrian Belew, Bowie's sometime pianist Mike Garson, hip hop master Dr. Dre and uber-engineer Bob Ezrin are amongst the stellar supporting cast.

This definitive version of The Fragile, meticulously prepared by Trent Reznor and NIN art director John Crawford, was remastered from the original sources in 2016 and comes pressed on 180g 3LP with lots of details attended to that you may not even notice at first.

With producer Stephen Street, The Smiths created a subtly shaded and skilled album, one boasting a fuller production than before. Morrissey and Marr labored hard over the songs, working to expand the band's sound within their boundaries. In doing so they created the classic tracks "I Started Something I Couldn't Finish," "Girlfriend in a Coma," "Stop Me if You Think You've Heard This One Before," and "I Won't Share You". This, the highest charting of all their albums, easily offers a summary of the band's considerable strengths.

Limited double vinyl LP pressing including digital download. 2016 release. A Moon Shaped Pool is the ninth studio album from the British alt-rock band. The album features the key tracks "Burn The Witch," "Daydreaming" and "True Love Waits." Radiohead worked on A Moon Shaped Pool intermittently after finishing the 2012 tour for their previous album, The King of Limbs (2011). The album was recorded in southern France with long-time producer Nigel Godrich. It includes several songs written and performed some years earlier; "True Love Waits" dates to at least 1995, "Burn the Witch" to 2000, and "Present Tense" to 2008. The album features strings and choral vocals arranged by multi-instrumentalist Jonny Greenwood and performed by the London Contemporary Orchestra.

Digitally remastered and expanded deluxe 20th Anniversary edition of their 1989 debut album including 12 previously unreleased live bonus tracks. Originally recorded over three sessions with producer Jack Endino at Seattle's Reciprocal Recording Studios in December 1988 and January 1989, Bleach was released in June of '89 and remains unequivocally/unsurprisingly Sub Pop's very favorite Nirvana full-length. The album initially sold 40,000 copies, but was brought into the international spotlight following the release and worldwide success of their 1991 sophomore effort, Nevermind. Subsequently Bleach went on to sell 1.7 million copies in the US alone, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The bonus tracks are an unreleased live recording of a complete February 9th, 1990 show at the Pine Street Theatre in Portland, Oregon. Packaging contains a 52-page booklet which includes previously unreleased photos of the band.

Emotional Creature - ORANGE MARBLE - Beach Bunny - As lockdown approached in 2020, Chicago-based singer Lili Trifilio was wrapping up a tour in support of Beach Bunny's debut album, Honeymoon.
