4AD will repress two more Cocteau Twins’ albums on vinyl this coming March, following on from the recent reissues of Blue Bell Knoll, Heaven or Las Vegas, Tiny Dynamine / Echoes In A Shallow Bay and The Pink Opaque. Using new masters created from high definition files transferred from the original analogue tapes, both vinyl pressings will also come with download codes. Digital HD audio versions of both albums will also be made available through specialist retailers at the same time. The band returned to being a trio in 1984 with guitarist Simon Raymonde joining their ranks in time for third album, Treasure. Produced by Robin Guthrie and featuring tracks “Lorelei,” “Ivo” and “Persephone,” Treasure is often celebrated as one of the band’s finest works. As Pitchfork put it when including the album in their Top 100 Albums of the 1980s, “Treasure was titled simply enough. An adjective for the endlessly inventive melodic lines you’d find buried in these songs, and a verb for what you’d do with them for years to come.”

2002 Remix Album

Raising the game on remix albums, 2002's Reanimation completely revamps tracks from Linkin Park's 2001 best selling album, Hybrid Theory, each of which are given new identities sonically distilled for the listener to discover. From the band's abrasive guitar work to their turntable acrobatics, Reanimation includes fresh reinterpretations of favorites "Points of Authority," "In The End," "Crawling" and "One Step Closer." Linkin Park recruited a host of underground hip-hop pioneers whom guest-appear on Reanimation including Alchemist, Chali 2NA, Pharoahe Monch, Evidence and DJ Babu (Dilated Peoples), and Aceyalone. Staind's Aaron Lewis performs a solemn and emotionally charged duet with vocalist Chester Bennington on "Crawling" adding atmospheric violins and cello.

Theatre Of Pain - Mötley Crüe - Theatre of Pain is Mötley Crüe's third studio album originally released in 1985. Released in the aftermath of lead vocalist Vince Neil's arrest for manslaughter on a drunk driving charge, the album marked the beginning of the band's transition away from the traditional heavy metal sound of Too Fast for Love and Shout at the Devil, towards a more glam metal style. As indie music enjoyed its resurgence in the mid 2000s, UK south coast three-piece Keane offered a thoughtful counterpoint to guitar squall. Connecticut-based quintet Goose—Rick Mitarotonda[vocals, guitar], Peter Anspach [vocals, keys, guitar],Trevor Weekz [bass], Ben Atkind [drums], and JeffArevalo (percussion, drums, vocals)—shimmy throughthe cracks between funk, alternative, and rock withhead-spinning hooks, technical fireworks, and the kindof chemistry only possible among small-town and long-time friends. On House of Sugar, his third full-length for Domino and ninth overall, (Sandy) Alex G inhabits a diverse range of musical and emotional points-of-view (often simultaneously), in turn illuminating the tension that hides in the shadow of desire. Alexander Giannascoli began writing these songs in the fall of 2017, having just finished a tour for House of Sugar's acclaimed predecessor, Rocket, and moved into a new apartment in Philadelphia. Whereas with earlier efforts, such as 2011's self-released Winner or the landmark 2014 release DSU, he'd write numerous songs fairly quickly, with House of Sugar Giannascoli worked at a steadier pace, concentrating on fewer songs and laboring over each one more than before. Throughout the process Giannascoli worked closely with Jacob Portrait, who mixed both Rocket and it's predecessor, 2015's Beach Music, and here helped to balance each of House of Sugar's dense, multi-faceted tracks. As the product of extended focus and planning, House of Sugar emerges as Giannascoli's most meticulous, cohesive album yet: a statement of artistic purpose, showing off his ear for both persistent earworms and shifting textures.

RADIOHEAD / KING OF LIMBS (180 gram vinyl one disc) - Radiohead's highly anticipated eighth album, The King Of Limbs follows-up the artistic provocateurs' 7-time Grammy nominated 2007 release In Rainbows. The eight song collection was produced by longtime collaborator, Nigel Godrich and is arguably the most groove-oriented set of Radiohead's restless career. King Of Limbs was named in honor of one of Great Britain's oldest trees. Nicknamed 'Big Belly Oak' and located in the 4,000-acre Savernake Forest in Wiltshire, England, the tree is estimated to be around 1,000 years old and has a girth of over 36 feet. The album was recorded in a country home less than three miles from Big Belly.

Very much a 20th century band, The Killers have turned their initial obsession with British alternative pop, indie rock and lo-fi into a huge, stadium-filling sound that manages to retain integrity while appealing to the mainstream. In that happy place they've released four studio albums that have sold an estimated 22 million copies worldwide (all four topping the UK charts) and matched the long form discs' Platinum status with massive hit singles.

Following up an album that sold over six million copies in the UK, Europe and the US alone could have been daunting but the Killers were on such a roll that Sam's Town (2006) took them even further. Flowers' distinctive lyrics and voice and his increasing piano and electric keyboards skills added new depth to a disc recorded in Nevada and London with co-producers Alan Moulder and Flood keeping the sound razor contemporary.

Since it was obvious by now that the band was already established, and wearing the trappings of stardom well, they could have taken a critical backlash. They didn't because the lead single "When You Were Young" expanded their sonic ambition with a heartland sweep that nodded to Bruce Springsteen's first two albums and topped the US Alternative Songs chart (it made #2 in the UK). While the lovely "For Reasons Unknown" slipped through the net it is another standout cut. The same applies to "Read My Mind," a piece that Brandon still considers to be amongst his very best.

In October 2017, The Breeders announced their return to 4AD, along with a new album, All Nerve, released in March 2018. Of Monsters and Men is an amiable group of day dreamers who craft folkie pop songs. With the Icelandic group's bright, trumpeting single "Little Talks" winning over one blog at a time, Nanna Bryndis Hilmarsdottir and her bandmates (co-singer/guitarist Ragnar "Raggi" Þórhallsson, guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, piano/accordion player Árni Guðjónsson, and bassist Kristján Páll Kristjánsson) are well on their way to becoming citizens of the world.

Nanna, who began as the acoustic act Songbird, recruited extra hands to bolster her sound for a solo show. She liked how her vocals commingled with Raggi's, so they started writing songs together and in 2010 morphed into Of Monsters and Men. As victors of 2010's Músiktilraunir, the new group earned a slot on the influential Iceland Airwaves festival later that year, followed by Seattle's radio station KEXP posting "Little Talks" from a Living Room Session filmed there, setting the telltale ripple effect in motion. By the summer of 2011 "Little Talks" hit #1 in the band's native country, and "people around the world seemed to be listening to us," marvels Raggi. The band was asked to perform again at Iceland Airwaves 2011, where KEXP then anointed the group as "easily the most buzzed about band."

Though their reach is growing broader, the group's appeal has remained distinct. Their music is as fantastical as it is pretty. For inspiration, they often reference random stories they've read. The chanting, tribal "Six Weeks" was inspired by the true tale of American frontiersman Hugh Glass, seemingly left for dead after a bear attack. As for the swelling, epic "From Finner," "it's about a whale that has a house on its back" says Raggi "on which people travel across the ocean, exploring different places and having adventures." "Little Talks," explores loneliness and insanity, while "Love Love Love" ruefully ruminates on heartbreak. "If you listen to the lyrics, they're not as uplifting," he says. "But our music is meant to be fun to sing along to."

Their full-length debut, My Head Is an Animal immediately reached #1 in their native Iceland and will now see its worldwide release via Universal Records. The album features production by Of Monsters and Men, Aron Amaarsson and Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Modest Mouse, Cold War Kids) while Craig Silvey (Florence + The Machine, Arcade Fire) handled mixing duties. My Head Is An Animal sounds like a dream and its pure bliss to listen to!
