There Is Nothing Left to Lose is the third studio album by the Foo Fighters, released November 2, 1999. The album marks the first appearance of drummer Taylor Hawkins, and is often seen as a departure from the band's previous work, showcasing a softer, more experimental sound. In a 2006 interview, Dave Grohl states that the album is "totally based on melody" and that it "might be his favorite album that they've ever done." There Is Nothing Left to Lose won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2001, marking the group's first ever Grammy Award. The band would go on to win the Grammy for Best Rock Album for three of their next four studio releases (One By One, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, and Wasting Light).

Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You is a sprawling double-LP exploring the deepest elements and possibilities of Big Thief. To truly dig into all that the music of Adrianne Lenker, Max Oleartchik, Buck Meek, and James Krivchenia desired in 2020, the band decided to write and record a rambling account of growth as individuals, musicians, and chosen family over 4 distinct recording sessions. In Upstate New York, Topanga Canyon, The Rocky Mountains, and Tucson, AZ, Big Thief spent 5 months in creation and came out with 45 completed songs. The most resonant of this material was edited down into the 20 tracks that make up DNWMIBIY, a fluid and adventurous listen. The album was produced by drummer James Krivchenia who initially pitched the recording concept for DNWMIBIY back in late 2019 with the goal of encapsulating the many different aspects of Adrianne's songwriting and the band onto a single record.

All four of these sessions, in their varied states of fidelity, style, and mood, when viewed together as one album seem to stand for a more honest, zoomed-out picture of lived experience than would be possible on a traditional, 12 song record. This was exactly what the band hoped would be the outcome of this kind of massive experiment. When Max's mom asked on a phone call what it feels like to be back together with the band playing music for the first time in a year, he described to the best of abilities: "Well it's like, we're a band, we talk, we have different dynamics, we do the breaths, and then we go on stage and suddenly it feels like we are now on a dragon. And we can't really talk because we have to steer this dragon."

The attempt to capture something deeper, wider, and full of mystery, points to the inherent spirit of Big Thief. Traces of this open-hearted, non-dogmatic faith can be felt through previous albums, but here on Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You lives the strongest testament to its existence.

Greta Van Fleet formed in 2012 in Frankenmuth, Michigan. The band was signed to Lava Records in March 2017 and a month later, they released their debut studio EP, Black Smoke Rising. The band's heavy rock sound is heavily influenced by the work of Led Zeppelin although they are mostly influenced by traditional artists from blues, soul, funk and folk music.

The album featured mostly hit singles recorded by the duo and released by RCA, along with one single from the duo's period with Atlantic Records and two previously unreleased songs recorded earlier in the year: "Say It Isn't So" and "Adult Education". The album was originally released on LP and cassette, with sides labeled "Side One" and "Side A", and was the duo's first album to be released on the then-new compact disc format. Originally released 20 years ago in June 1996 on DGC, Odelay was Beck's breakthrough follow-up to his platinum bow, Mellow Gold. Selling more than two million copies in the U.S., the double-platinum-certified Odelay featured classics that loom large in Beck's live sets to this day, including "Where It's At," "Devils Haircut" and "The New Pollution." Odelay won two Grammy Awards in 1997, Best Alternative Music Album and Best Male Rock Vocal Performance for "Where It's At," and was Beck's first album to be nominated for Album of the Year - the top honor his most recent album Morning Phase took home in 2015.

Produced by Beck with collaborators the Dust Brothers, Odelay continued to demonstrate and expand upon Beck's eclectic stylistic palette. The Pixies Wave Of Mutilation: Best Of The Pixies on 2LP

One of the most revered college-radio bands of the late 1980s and early '90s, the Pixies combined smart yet surreal pop with jagged, punk-influenced rock and, oddly enough, broke up just as the alternative music scene went mainstream. Fueled by Black Francis's oft-maniacal vocals and bizarrely catchy songs, the Boston-based quartet, rounded out by bassist/vocalist Kim Deal, guitarist Joey Santiago and drummer David Lovering, consistently crafted fascinating albums during their brief but headstrong run. This 23-track collection, released in tandem with their highly anticipated 2004 reunion tour, captures many of their finest moments.

Proceeding semi-chronologically, Wave Of Mutilation begins with the rambunctious ditty "Bone Machine." Other early gems include the strange anthem "Holiday Song," the anthropomorphic ode "Caribou" and Deal's signature song, "Gigantic." The band's beloved 1989 album, Doolittle, is amply represented by seven songs, including the pleading "Hey," the mischievous "Monkey Gone to Heaven," the fierce "Debaser" and the pop-perfect "Here Comes Your Man." Latter-day tunes include rockers such as "Dig for Fire," "Alec Eiffel" and "Planet of Sound," along with two B-sides, "Into the White" and an excellent cover of Neil Young's "Winterlong."
