As indie music enjoyed its resurgence in the mid 2000s, UK south coast three-piece Keane offered a thoughtful counterpoint to guitar squall. Their runaway 2004 debut, Hopes And Fears, featured well-written songs, anchored by delicate piano-based melodies. Certified Platinum nine times, the album hit the top of the UK album charts beating out Morrissey's You Are the Quarry along the way. Damn The Torpedoes, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers' third album (and first on Backstreet/MCA,) proved to be the breakthrough for the singer-songwriter-guitarist and his band (guitarist Mike Campbell, keyboardist Benmont Tench, bassist Ron Blair and drummer Stan Lynch). The album was released in October 1979, after a highly publicized lawsuit in which Petty made a groundbreaking stand for artist rights, refusing to be sold by one record company to another without his consent.

Damn The Torpedoes became the group's first Top 10, remaining at No. 2 for seven weeks (only Pink Floyd's The Wall kept it from the top). It sold over 5-million copies, and had 3 top 40 hits and 4 top 5 rock-radio hits. The album was an immediate critical success, with Rolling Stone declaring Damn The Torpedoes "the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers album we have all been waiting for."

Produced by Petty and Jimmy Iovine, the album reached double platinum quickly and catapulted the band to arena performances where they played such classic cuts as the infectious Top 10 hit "Don't Do Me Like That," blistering rockers "Refugee" and "Here Comes My Girl," and the exhilarating "Even The Losers." Bursting with full speed ahead American rock ‘n' roll, the album brought together rock, folk, country and blues in what has become Petty and the Heartbreakers' signature style.

The release garnered Petty his first Rolling Stone Magazine cover in February 1980. In 2003, nearly 25 years after its release, Rolling Stone honored Damn The Torpedoes on its list of "the greatest albums ever made," and in 2002 Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, during their first year of eligibility. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are one of the very few artists to score a top five record on the Billboard charts in five consecutive decades.

Circles is the sixth and final studio album by the late Mac Miller. Conceived as a sister album to 2018's Grammy-nominated Swimming, the album was completed with the assistance of Jon Brion, with whom Miller worked on Swimming and had been working together on Circles at the time of his passing. While sonically distinctly different than its predecessor, Circles features many of the hallmarks for which Swimming was critically-acclaimed upon its release - Miller further realizing his singing voice in addition to rapping, live instrumentation and earnest, confessional lyrical content. Listeners will hear shades of some of the album's influences in its songs, from the T-Rex guitar tone of "Surf" to the Plastic Ono Band-era John Lennon feel of its production and the inspired cover of Arthur Lee's 1972 single "Everybody's Gotta Live." The recorded legacy of musical icon and singer/songwriter Chris Cornell is celebrated with the new 17-track self-titled collection, Chris Cornell, the first release since his passing in 2017. Chris Cornell commemorates his life and legacy not only as a singer, but as a poet and one of the most prolific writers and greatest voices of the modern rock era. His wife Vicky Cornell worked extensively with Chris' bandmates and friends to compile a collection of material from the late artist's expansive career, showcasing his contribution to music history with selections culled from the deep catalogs of his three influential bands – Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave – as well as songs from his solo career. She turned to producer Brendan O'Brien, who was a trusted partner to Cornell over the years and Jeff Ament who created the packaging for Chris Cornell.

The breadth of all 17 selections on Chris Cornell display the full span of his artistic achievements, from the full-on kick of Soundgarden's seminal "Black Hole Sun" to the mournful yearning of Temple of the Dog's "Hunger Strike" to the sensitive depth of Audioslave's "Like A Stone" to his solo theme to the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale, "You Know My Name."
